THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL

Supposedly, it's these two this year: Venus and Mars (1975) (Wings) Wings at the Speed of Sound (1976) (Wings) And then these two in 2015: Tug of War (1982) Pipes of Peace (1983) Beyond that is anyone's guess, but I'm guessing the following are out of the running, since Hear Music has already re-released them without bonus material: Off the Ground (1993) Run Devil Run (1999) Driving Rain (2001) Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (2005)

Is there any source for the rumour that Tug and Pipes will be released after V&A and Speed ?

I don't have a link, but on another site a reliable source quoted from a supposedly leaked MPL memo.

I wonder what kind of extras we could expect with Venus & Mars or Speed of Sound for that matter? I wish they'd step up the release dates a bit.

I don't know if we need more live material from that era just yet, but that would have to be part of it, I guess. Otherwise, rough mixes, a few odd outtakes, hopefully including Paul's "Must Do Something About It" vocal?

I almost was going to jump on One Hand Clapping until I remembered that one was already added to the BOTR Archive release Thinking about some songs from Cold Cuts - I know a couple of songs from the Ram through Red Rose Speedway era then a couple of others from the London Town/Back to the Egg era...any of the other songs from the Venus and Mars/Speed of Sound era(besides My Carnival)?

Lol. They will not remaster / re-release NEW any time in Paul's lifetime.

I would say an outside chance of remastering/expanding Flaming Pie, but that's the NEWest one I think they would touch!

I can't wait for "Back To The Egg" in 2024!

One must say that the pairings make perfect sense considering the time periods they both overlapped and shared sessons. But I'll be skipping the POP remaster. ~But "Keep Under Cover" is pretty awesome.

Hope that it's right! I would rather have a Red Rose Speedway than a SOS remaster. Although we already know that V&M and SOS have the spots for the next release. I'll be happy as long as they hurry up and announce one already.

I think RRS is a mistake print should be SPEED OF SOUND But also heard a rumour that VENUS / SPEED , ARE THE LAST BIG Deluxe versions , maybe that means they may come out faster

LOL! This whole reissue has not made sense.............. It's not the content, but just the order. Also, why not just get it out there one after the other?

It's got to be "V&M"/"Speed". They officially teased that pairing in a card that came inside the McCartney and McCartney II boxes back in 2011. A couple of years ago, Paul's manager said in an interview that there would not be more than maybe 8 or 9 of these big deluxe reissues, so any way you count them, they're definitely near the end. I do hope they continue on with other releases in smaller packages, but still with a bonus CD and a DVD. And now that the U.S. tour is finally all announced, I'll bet we get an announcement on the next set in the next week or two, since they're supposedly coming June 17th.

I wish they'd move it along already.

I am going to be very disappointed if Red Rose Speedway doesn't come out. I supposed to some degree I care more about remastering and HD audio than the packaging, but the packaging is very nice. In fact, if they don't release everything from 70-80 in individual packages, they should at least do round-up deluxe packaging (e.g, Wild Life/RRS as one package, London Town/BTTE as another). OK, that is a stupid idea, but I would really like to have the deluxe packages of all of the work on my bookshelf.
