THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
-
The Eggman67:
Michelley:
A bit of gossip from the rumor mill: On Jan. 16, Hits Daily Double posted the following that sounds like its about Paul: NO HELLO, NO GOODBYE: What superstar near the end of his/her current record deal was spotted in the midst of snubbing the ranking executives at his/her label backstage after a recent show, to their unabashed shock? This was also reposted the other day on Blind Gossip and most of the guesses were that this is about Paul (because of the obvious reference to Hello, Goodbye). So ... what do people think? Is Paul separating from Concord? The company was bought by a larger company in 2013 and maybe Paul doesn't like the new owners. Is Paul unhappy with Concord? Is he looking to change record companies again? Thoughts?
From a marketing point of view, I would understand if he changes the to another record company... The promotion of New was really bad...
Concord certainly didn't use the clout and visibility of Starbucks like they could have. And I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted a label that could speed up the reissues. He may be looking at the pace of the Led Zeppelin ones and saying, What's the holdup with mine?

Yeah, Concord seemed to pull out all the stops for Memory Almost Full and not much at all for New. I hadn't realized there'd been a change in ownership. Does anyone know if Paul is actually near the end of his contract?

I'm really hoping that we'll see Tug Of War/Pipes of Peace Archives this year.

I'm still counting on that. There are so many great unreleased tracks from those sessions.

I love the Archive series, and realize that there is a lot of work that goes into these, but I just wish they were a tad quicker. Maybe it's the historian in me, but I wish they were in exact chronological order as they were originally released.
-
I also hope for the "Tug of War" and "Pipes of Peace" combination soon!
-
End year was 2016...they had better step it up SO Ready for Red Rose Speedway , Back To The Egg and not crazy about them But Want Wings wild Life and London Town for the extras..
-
Just wish he would get the rest released all at once. Then again I may be preaching to the choir.
-
I wish he'd release more demos with these packages.

You tell 'em, sister!

RRS, LT and BTTE please!! I don't want 'Tug Of War' because is perfect in this way, and I don't want 'Pipes Of Peace' because no matter how, it will always be a mediocre album.

^ Looks like Macca is playing catch up and is going to skip albums 8 to 13.

I've said it before, but I don't believe that schedule was ever legitimate, aside from some of the early ones. At best, maybe some low-level employee at Concord had some "hopes" of what might come out, but we'll be lucky to get even a third of all of that, I think! Concord / Hear Music has done the Archive releases noted above with an X, plus they've also done straight reissues of many of the more recent ones, including: Off The Ground Run Devil Run Driving Rain Chaos and Creation in the Backyard Plus these were already on this label upon their initial release: Memory Almost Full Electric Arguments I believe, at the most, we can still expect: Tug of War / Pipes of Peace Wild Life / Red Rose Speedway London Town / Back to the Egg Flowers in the Dirt Flaming Pie And that's pushing it!

you may be right, I heard that only a few got 'THE BIG BOX" Treatment and that may be it, I cant see Pipes of Peace getting that, yes Tug of war should ,,so they may just come faster in the reg CD + BONUS Packages..
