Been reading these boards for years but never posted hadnt taken the time to sign up and since they got rid of premium membership I havent visited PMC.com as often. Anyway. I bought tickets for this concert hoping to get floor seats for $255. All I could get on Tuesday were lower section 105. I was on the presale at 9am sharp. How do you guys get $255 floor seats? Were there even any $255 floor seats? I noticed Silver VIP was actually even farther back than my seat for double the price and club side seats were also $255. Im happy with what I got but was just hoping to score some decent floor seats.
Speaking for myself, I didn't pay $255 for my floor ticket. I bought a package and paid $650. Today, I attempted the venue pre-sale and could have paid $255 for C2.

Well hopefully 2nd row in. 105 will be better than a rear floor seat anyway.

Update on floor layout, from FedEx Forum's webmaster in email reply to my inquiry:
Hi, F1 is located on the left side when facing the stage. Thank you for your interest in FedExForum
You can't get the same answer twice when dealing with the Fed Ex box office. I just googled FE box office phone number becuase if you go to their website you only get recorded information and you can't speak with anyone. A box Office rep answered and I asked him facing the stage is section F1 to the left next to sec 104 or to the right next to sec115? He said it was to the right next to section 115. All of their end stage diagrams show F1 to the right,( not that it matters) Does anyone else have any info on the floor layout for this concert?
I'm going by Ticketmaster's layout. All of their end stage layouts show F1 as on the right side, net to 115. I want to be on the piano side, so hope that is where I am located. I gave F3 away.
I did the same with F3. I just received a reply from my email to Fed Ex box office, their reply, section 1 is on the right. Are you going to wear the Green Macca shirt you had on in St. Louis? I loved it!

You remember that? I don't recall meeting you, but the sound check had me in a Paul fog. Hadn't thought about it yet. I tried to buy handicapped tickets for a friend Tuesday on the Amex pre-sale. As TM guy was processing order, he said no. I got charged on my card. Those tickets are to come by mail. I deleted all of our emails about the conversation. By yesterday, he asked me if I would do it so I did. He gave me a go, so I may now have 2 pair of handicapped tickets. 2nd pair is to be emailed to me. How did I get myself in to this. Will call TM Customer Service tomorrow as that is what guy told me to do if the charge settled on Tuesday.

Maccascruff I spoke with you briefly at breakfast in St. Louis and complimented you on your shirt. I didn't know then who you were or that you were a board member. Then I read on hear someone commenting about your shirt.

Day of concert breakfast, I was very excited. I do remember our shirts getting commented on at breakfast. I was with my friend who had made them. She isn't coming with me to Memphis.

I am in a bit of a panic. I bought a single Hot Sound Package ticket for my daughter who is 15. She's a Beatles fanatic, and while I would love to go with her, I couldn't afford 2 of them. Please tell me that there is not an age restriction. I didn't see one on the details. Also, I just read where no name changes are permitted. My husband actually bought the ticket for her, I hope that doesn't mean it's automatically his name on the list. When would we put it in her name? Lastly, will she be safe doing this by herself? My husband and I will be at the concert, but in plaza seats (she'll be in 3rd row), and of course we won't be at the soundcheck. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her, but I'm so nervous now.
-
I don't think there is an age restriction on VIP packages, I would think it would have been indicated somewhere on the page. But if your husband purchased the tickets, then yes, the package will be listed under his name. I would contact SloTix slocustomerservice@slotix.com and let them know your situation. They do say no name changes, but since your situation is a parent buying a ticket for his child, they may make an exception. They do check IDs before admitting you in to the venue. As for safety, I think she will be fine. She will be among fellow Paul fans! They also keep everyone together as a group throughout the whole experience, and there is almost always a venue security person and a SloTix rep with the group.
-
She will be safe. I can assure you of that. She will be with a group of excited Paul fans. Slo Tix will take good care of her also. As for using husband's CC and her attending, I'd advise contacting SLO VIP SERVICES at customerservice@slotix.com or 888-SLO4TIX (888-756-4849) to make sure your daughter can go. Call them or email them, explain the situation as hubby's name will be on the list. You want it all straightened out before night of show. Tell them her age and ask they watch out for her also. Good luck.

Husband and I are going to this concert! Couldn't get tix on first pre-sale but did get them at the venue pre-sale. Farther back than I wanted but still on the floor. On the aisle so that is good for short me. LOL. Ticketmaster said one can exchange or return tix within 72 hours so I tried for better tix today during regular sale but nothing came up in 25 minutes. Tried about 1 1/2 hour into the sale and the tix were no better than what I have.

Can't let the Memphis thread slide off page 1! I actually found the concert t-shirt I bought back in 1993 when he was in Memphis. My wife discouraged me from trying to wear it to the show. It seems to have shrunk thru various washings..........
-
beemer865 my wife will be wearing my old 1993 tour tee from Memphis to the show. Speaking of which, we have one helluva party planned both pre show and post show here in Memphis. Tentative schedule is: Meet and greet at a local club on Beale starting at 5PM (dinner/drinks/fellowship. etc) 6PM I will describe my experience of seeing the Beatles live here in Memphis back on August 19, 1966 6:45PM entertainment by my buddy's British Invasion band. These guys are the best band in town. Will be sending out invites on fb. BTW, I am hoping that this will be an 'unofficial' official meetup for folks here on maccaboard.com Not sure if this will be sanctioned or not We are gonna have one helluva party down on Beale Street! Be there or be square as they say

Thanks Fletch. We'll actually have our 12 year old son (his 3rd Paul concert) and our 21 year old son (his first Paul show) with us. So our "clubbing" time will be limited. Sounds fun though. Were does the British band usually play? Any where in particular or all over...

all over...

I would contact SLO like everyone is advising. It would be impossible for a 15 year old to buy a package, so it is a parent purchasing for a minor without a credit card type thing. If anything your husband might need to be present in the afternoon with his I.D. to check her in. Worse case situation would be she just uses the ticket to go to the actual concert. Though they are non-transferable, that's just for soundcheck. I bought a Gold ticket for St. Louis and was not the original ticket holder, has some other guys name on it. It scanned and I was 9th row on the floor just fine.

Anyone interested in these tickets (face value with service fees): Memphis Fedex Forum FLOOR Section 6, Row A, Seat 1 @ 275.85 Section 114 Row D, Seat 14-15 @ 547.96 (for two tickets) Just private message me Thanks! Jill

Last night I checked ticketmaster to see what tickets were left. It gave me F2 row R. Great tickets for $250 a piece. It was for 2 tickets. Wish I would have bought them to upgrade mine. Do they continue to release good tickets like this closer to the concert? Id really like to upgrade my 2 to the best $250 tickets I can get.

Sometimes there are good releases in the week or two before the concert.
