Prediction: 'Birthday' out, 'Get Back' in.
agreed. I think it'll continue to alternate with I Saw Her Standing There. I also believe Save Us will be swapped with either Junior's Farm, Jet, a new song, or a FITD song if we're really really lucky
Haha, I'm really cynical at night ;). Honestly I think/I hope for one surprise at least at the Budokan, since last time at Japan he did the same.
I agree. By this point, it'll probably be something played before but not in a while like I'll Get You or For No One, unless he decides to pull out something like Martha My Dear, or a new Wings/Solo track
I believe Martha My Dear is too hard for him to sing & play. The piano part of that song is very hard to do. It would be great to hear live but I'm very doubtful on that one ever being performed. He did it briefly at the soundcheck at the Budokan but it's a hard song on the piano.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I certainly think All My Loving should return to the set
I don't know why but I always think of All My Loving and Can't Buy Me Love as a one or the other deal. I think I'd probably rather hear All My Loving, though, if I had to pick.

I agree, and that's what I'm implying by saying that

I wouldn't mind "All My Loving" coming back in place of "Can't Buy Me Love". I don't really think one is better than the other live, they're both great...but it's been a few years so a switch would be alright by me. BUT I'd really rather see another early Beatle hit take that third song slot altogether. "I'll Get You" would be a fine fit back in there, and I've never heard it like many others here. Or how about "She's a Woman"? That could be a real heavy rocker and still keep the Beatles early spirit if they wanted to.
-
My dream is for him to do "What You're Doing." It might be too high for his range now though.

I've always wanted to hear that too...but I think it's just slightly more mellow (despite the tympani) than the rockers that typical go that early in the set. It would have to go at the end of the opening electric set, kinda like "The Night Before" did for awhile.

or it could be in the 2nd electric set
-
I'd love for Penny Lane to come back for the 50th anniversary. I could see it either in the first electric set, where Temporary Secretary is now, or in the second, where Ob-La-Di is now

My question is, will Paul ever remove the songs he just can no longer sing? (Like Maybe I'm Amazed) What songs do you all think he should remove? There are plenty he could replace them with, that he could actually sing well. Or just lower the damn keys!

For No One>Maybe I'm Amazed All My Loving>Can't Buy Me Love I think he could sing Maybe I'm Amazed okay if it was lowered a step. You Won't See Me was fantastic this tour and it was down a step. I'd almost say I prefer it that way!

I Will > FourFiveSeconds This One > Mr Kite I have this dream that I'm seeing him playing Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey and singing "HAAAANDS ACROSS THE WATER. HEEAAADS ACROSS THE SKY". This would be so amazing.
-
In the past Paul have rehearsed "Waterfalls" "Junk" and "Backseat of my car", maybe one of this will be in the Japan setlist.
-
What about "When I'm Sixty-Four" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pepper?

I don't want Maybe I'm Amazed to go. It makes no sense but even I just want to see him perform that live once. But ignoring that, I've always found something very magical about Bb. I can't explain why but that key is just gorgeous. I wrote a song in it for a film last year and it was pretty good. When we came to do the backing track, the actor had a cold so asked if we could transpose it. We tried it in A and then in Ab but as soon as it slipped out of Bb, it lost its charm. Inexplicable and entirely unfounded.

He mentioned they almost did Uncle Albert and Back Seat recently but decided they didn't have a "live" feel to them. But of course, we know how things have gone in the past when him/the band say stuff like that.... they usually end up getting played anyway (Lovely Rita, Your Mother Should Know, etc) and they're usually sounding pretty great

For each Paul concert I have my "favorites". For the first Out There concert I went to, Mr. Kite was one of my favorites. The laser effects and the ability of the band to recreate that song in a live setting was just AWESOME. During the second Out There concert I saw, Lovely Rita was one of my favorites. It was a great song to sing along to. So each concert is a different experience for me; a song that might not have caught my attention at one concert impressed me in the next. As far as removing Mr. Kite, I wouldn't be opposed (although it's a GREAT song live for those who haven't heard it for themselves). I think one of the reasons Paul keeps it in there is because he enjoys playing it (kudos to him). I do miss Lovely Rita in the set, but he can't possibly keep everything! Some songs that I hope he decides to bring back to the current tour are The Long and Winding Road, Jet, and Daytripper. -Rubber Soul13

Why not indeed? Great tune to sing along with!

Why unpopular? It's one of the greatest songs. I always love to hear it, whether live or on record. And what about Drive My Car? At times I just crave to hear that song and cannot go on without it ;).

Unpopular opinion on this site, as many of the members here are diehards who long for a fresh setlist with fewer repeats from previous tours. I don't think anyone here actually dislikes songs like All My Loving, Can't Buy Me Love, Drive My Car, etc. It's just that we've been there/done that. Many. Times. And his catalog has so many gems he never touches. So we sometimes get frustrated.
