I have a feeling Paul will play a song from his new album on the next leg of the tour.
I'm thinking the same, to be honest. However, with every new and "new" song to the setlist, we're probably going to lose one of the "new" songs he added to that setlist.
I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
If it's "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" that gets dropped for a new song, you're right.
Actually, I'm looking forward to "Mr. Kite". I'd rather he drop one of the songs he's played since '08...such as "Vandebilt".
I'll be happy to hear it once, but it is a bit of a song choice out of left field, isn't it? From there, if "Vandebilt" was dropped, I wouldn't cry. However, it'd be cool to have another Wings song it its place.

Yea...I never in a million years would have guessed "Mr. Kite" in the setlist. But looking at the videos from the first night of the tour, they really "nailed it"!

This is ridiculous to admit, but I'm refusing to look at the videos until after I've seen the show live. ops:

I don't see myself waiting that long, either. If I make it through the weekend I'll be amazed.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. I waited years to see A Day In The Life live. Even just skimmed the Good Evening New York City DVD when I bought it because I hadn't seen the tour yet, though I looked at the set list. I wish could not look at the set list, but it's too hard.

I know I mentioned before on here that at this show I am going to try and have Paul sign my tattoo. I've gone to the craft store to buy poster board and markers, but I'm worrying about visability. Originally I wantd to make two signs. My dad would hold one saying "You say it's her Birthday...Sign the Birthday Girl" while mine would say "I'm the birthday girl! Sign my tattoo!" but I'm worried that its too much to fit and be readable. I'm in row 9 section F1, but I'm not really familiar with Barclays. Do you think I'm close enough to the stage for Paul to be able to read all the words on the the sign? Or should I go for bigger, more visable writing (like just saying Please Sign my Beatles Tattoo and Please sign my daughter) rather than my initial idea? Obviously getting this to happen at all is a longshot (although he has done it before, most recently in Brazil) but I want to make sure I have the best shot!
-
Didn't he once said that he doesn't allow himself to read signs ?

I am sort of like you Jen. If is a new song in the setlist, I will stay away from seeing it on Youtube after I have seen it. I will watch something done live if I have seen it before. I watched Blackbird from Brazil to see how the elevated stage looks. Just hope I can makw a show and get Out There with all of you.

Heard quite a few people at both Orlando shows who said there is a lot of talk Paul will swing back to Florida after Canada, specifically Tampa. The Tampa Bay Times Forum is getting a lot of big names this fall (Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Bruno Mars, and dare I say Bieber) so if Paul came before they show... Anyone else heard this?

That's very odd and interesting all at once...especially since my family is planning a trip to Tampa/ St. Pete this summer around that time.

That would be some time in August, that is when he plays Regina and Winnipeg.

Any rumors on Atlanta? I got to believe he will play there eventually, considering his track record there over the years. He last hit it in 2009. That could hook into a Tampa show nicely, in terms of nearby geography reducing costs of moving staging, etc.
-
Interesting article in the Austin paper about what it took to get McCartney to play there: http://www.mystatesman.com/news/entertainment/music/it-took-years-for-the-erwin-center-to-reel-in-big-/nXtGX/?icmp=statesman_internallink_textlink_apr2013_statesmanstubtomystatesman_launch Looks like McCartney does have input about where he plays.

THANK YOU. I couldn't agree more. And it makes sense. Hey RMartinez, I said nothing about AUGUST. The concerts I reeled off aren't till late September and October. : It was a mere observation due to the fact hat at least a dozen people mentioned they had heard the rumour PLUS the arena was attracting big names this autumn and winter.

Why are you so angry? I just pointed out an obvious fact, that McCartney's last scheduled shows are in August, so maybe that is when he may do some more shows. No need to roll your eyes at me!

Interesting article, remarkable that they had been after him for years and almost had him four years ago. Thanks for sharing this.
