I am not changing the argument at all. You seem to be of the opinion that logic "always" prevails. in humans..it does not. .
So you're using logic to prove that logic doesn't always prevail... interesting. Logic?? Not at all....
jaipur:
Too bad the point seems to be beyond your comprehension
No, it's well within my realm of comprehension, but when you say "everything is not black and white," you completely contradict yourself. That's not missing the point, it's pointing out what it is: a contradiction.
It must be terribly frustrating to be so anal that a general statement is twisted into being labled "contradictory"

October 7, 2008, 3:24 PM Reporter's Notebook: Seeing How The Other Half Lives an excerpt, see for yourselves "The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated." If you're not happy, blame it on CBS news http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/10/07/politics/fromtheroad/entry4507703.shtml

Logic?? Not at all....
So if you didn't use logic to prove that logic doesn't always prevail with humans, then what did you prove this argument on? Astrology?
jaipur:

Just because it's a general statement doesn't mean it can't also be contradictory. They're not mutually exclusive. And instead of complaining about the criticism, how about responding to it, instead?

Hello Matthew_Montoya, It is no news that your "modus operandi" (The way that someone usually does something) is to pick apart others' political posts that you disagree with line-by-line in order to engage people in a lengthy post volley. I will not go there. My only purpose is to give undecideds information to allow them to make an informed choice. I will let my original post stand on its own. If you want more Bushesque policies by voting for McCain that's your business. To the undecided voters: I, personally, want the "Change" that Obama/Biden are offering.

Well said Fan since 1964 For the first time in its history Esquire Magazine is endorsing a candidate for president: http://www.esquire.com/features/esquire-endorsements-2008/esquire-endorses-barack-obama Interesting read Peace

I personally am afraid of the unknown "changes" that Obama/Biden are offering. When you don't know much about a person, it makes it difficult to put your trust in them.

Perhaps you should make it a point to learn about Obama/Biden. Being an informed citizen is a responsibility in a democracy. If more citizens had known more about bush he would not have been elected and we wouldn't be in the mess we are now with our country almost destroyed.

Your language is beautiful Nellie This is for you on our beloved Johns birthday:
How could you not vote after watching that? John thought voting was very important. Peace Viv -
Nelle, I understand. I'm completely jaded by all politics going on. It seems that our pols act like 'little kids' arguing, fighting with each other, etc. I don't think I'm voting this election. It appears that no one in Washington is listening to us anymore. Cindy is much more of a 'political animal' than I'll ever be. She's trying to change my mind about not voting this election. Not sure if she will. Guess I'm just apathetic?

There are still other options beside Obama and McCain. Personally I'm voting for Ralph Nader. No matter who you vote for, just vote and keep democracy alive.

Hi StacyT, You owe it to yourself to find answers to the questions that are causing your mistrust of Obama/Biden. We are in the worst economic shape since The Great Depression and McCain voted with George W. Bush 90% of the time and we are in this mess. The Great Depression was an American problem but the present economic woes are "global" in nature. President Bush is going to host an emergency G8 meeting this weekend to avoid the possible collapse of the "global" economy. Plus, Gov. Palin brings the baggage of "Troopergate" and abuse of her power as Governor with her to the Republican ticket. She is a heartbeat away from the Presidency and that is scary to me. Why anybody would want to continue on the present path by voting for McCain is beyond me. Knowledge is bliss and the choice is yours. Happy information searching.

Hi, fletch! I understand how you feel. I, myself, couldn?t just find the right words? it?s quite confusing! Maybe the Lord will give us enough strength and help us do what is right and wrong. Peace
