Fabulous gig paul sounded great nice to hear so many new songs in the set list the new intro to live and let die I thought they were about to do soily, if only still had a great night paul showed how it should be done. There were a couple of technical issues the guitar not working at one point and the NEW lights failing after quennie eye but paul being the professional that he is carried on regardless. The last concert I went to was Eric Clapton at the hydro in Glasgow. There was a small issue with feedback from the bass and he walked off after an hour and didn't come back. He got booed off stage for being a knob. Can't see Paul ever having a strop like that. Paul just gets better with age. Who would have thought we would ever see him do temporary secretary? It cost me nearly £200 for the concert and the hotel bit it was worth every penny I wouldn't have missed it for the world

Was sunday a sell out?

I am encouraged by these small experiments with the set list, even if Temporary Secretary isn't my cup of, uh, English tea. And at least he's pulling out an occasional Beatles song that doesn't get played much. I still think You Won't See Me ought to be in regular rotation (along with a bunch more solo stuff) but at this point I'll take small victories.

Interesting placement of Yesterday at the start of the second encore. Has that ever happened? Another cool show!
^^^Hasn't seen McCartney in a very long time
^^^And doesn't care.

I agree. You Won't See Me is one of my all time favorite songs.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not.......
I actually was not being sarcastic, though I can understand why it would come across that way!

Great performance last night by Macca. He really was on form. Shame I can't say the same about the O2, we had no problems but I was forced to voice a complaint about security removing a couple of bags of sweets from a mothers handbag she had for her little boy. I hope she didn't buy replacements from them inside, the pigs. I already have Fleetwood Mac tickets but I won't be in a hurry to visit the O2 gain, I knew there was a reason I avoided in the past!

Wow again! The set had enough differences from the Out There shows in 2013 to make it really fun and interesting. Paul claimed to have added Ram On at the spur of the moment based on requests from fans on the floor and told a story about it being played at the wedding of Keira Knightley. And he essentially does a 4-hour show each night with the sound check. I didn't make a list (bad me, too busy enjoying) but he did Day Tripper, Honey Don't, Bluebird, High Ho Silver, San Francisco Bay (on uke, I think), Lady Madonna (also in the show), It's so Easy, Coming Up, a couple of instrumentals, and a bunch of others. He called out all the signs at both the sound check (including my Everton banner) and the show. (For those keeping track, you should get it out after Hope for the Future.) There was a shortage of signs does front for the main show, so he had to call out the greatest hits--like the "sign my butt" sign. So glad we bought tickets for Paris--get to postpone the post-Paul sadness for another few weeks.

Live And LET Die - luckily I had got my eyebrows trimmed.

London Night 2 Eight Days a Week Save Us Got To Get You Into My Life Listen to What the Man Said Temporary Secretary Let Me Roll It - About You Paperback Writer My Valentine Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five The Long and Winding Road Maybe I'm Amazed - Fine Line I'm Looking Through You We Can Work It Out Another Day - That Was Me Hope for the Future And I Love Her Blackbird Here Today - Early Days New Queenie Eye Lady Madonna All Together Now - I Can Bet Lovely Rita Eleanor Rigby Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite - Things We Said Today Ram On - Dear Boy Something - All Things Must Pass Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da Band on the Run Back in the USSR Let it Be Live and Let Die Hey Jude Another Girl Hi Hi Hi Can't Buy Me Love Yesterday Helter Skelter Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End Well folks, that's a wrap! "See ya next time"
I made a few changes which would be cool for when Mr. McCartney returns to the US. He has played the US a bunch so needs to mix it up more. "Let Me Roll It" needs to go, played to death. I assume Mr. McCartney likes it because of the guitar licks but I think replacing it with a good rocker from "Driving Rain" called "About You" would work. We all love "Maybe I'm Amazed but let's be honest, he can't do it well anymore, replace it with "Fine Line". "Another Day" was played on 1993 tour and other tours, seems to me it can be replaced. Let's replace it with "That Was Me" which is neat upbeat song that was actually from this century - lol. I love "Here Today" as much as anyone but it is played out, "Early Days" could be dedicated to Mr. Lennon. I can't imagine the world would end for Beatle Paul fans if he did not play "All Together Now" so why not replace it with great song like "I Can Bet" from "New". I feel that "Something" needs to go to especially the "George" loved the ukele" story. Mr. McCartney does "All Things Must Pass" very well and would be a nice change IMO. If he needs to keep "Something", please dear lord drop the same old story. " I would replace "Benefit For Mr. Kite" with "Things We Said Today, just a better song IMO. "Ram On' is nice little number but why not "Dear Boy" from RAM, much better IMO. Finally, I would love to see him wrap up first encore with "Soily". Would love more changes but think these few would add some songs past 1980 and songs he has not done live.

What can one possibly add? McCartney surely is the master, master of his craft and a total genius. After a weekend of Macca, I'm so happy. It really is a privilege (worth paying for!) to see this man in action. He is just do....dammm....brilliant! I think we can all agree with that! Last night was amazing. Quite a different audience I think from Saturday and I think Saturdays audience were a little more electric. But only just. Last nights were certainly loud in places and the reception for Let it Be was probably the best I've seen it, the amount of audience lights just seemed to me to be more beautiful then ever. I sat in Block 101 meaning I was nearer to the stage than last night so on that basis I got to see Paul up closer. I took my mum - her first concert in about 13 years and her first Macca show - and she thought it was not only brilliant, but one of the best nights she's had in years and certainly the best concert she's ever been to! Just as a side note: Some guy in the audience a few rows behind us complained about people standing in the row behind us - and at me, too, I suppose. However, he soon left when he released he was being too much an arse about it. I think it's really hard for some fans who generally want to dance about a bit for some songs and appreciate the man and his music rather than sitting down. I know and understand that we have all paid for the tickets, and I understand that in some cases some fans won't be able to help not see the gig for those standing in front, but it can really kill the atmosphere when your trying to enjoy yourself and some stony face person whose evidently not expressing any enjoyment whatsoever gives you a disapproving look and asks you to stop. I myself didn't experience any of that to me last might, thank god, but I feel for any of those who did (One guy did say to me at the beginning "i'd rather hear him sing it" not too rudely, I sort of got the point, Macca sounded ace and the man did enjoy himself, too!). However, it was a truly brilliant, brilliant evening and these concerts do rank as some of the best I've attended. It was shear magic. I recall in 2012 the critics slating Macca for his Olympic shows saying he should quit. I would really like to see them eat humble pie now! "We love you, man!"

Has anyone got a picture of the tour merch on sale for the *UK dates* specifically? Just curious to find out what's available and the pricing before I go to Liverpool.
-
Brilliant! Quite simply the best gig I have ever been to....and if I could work out how to add in photos, i would. [/img]

I was at the Saturday show. Quite possibly one of my favourite Macca gigs. Awesome set and I was given a plectrum. I'm still on a Macca high and I saw Ride perform in the Roundhouse last night. Roll on Birmingham and Liverpool.

Upload your pics onto an image hosting site (I like to use imgur: http://imgur.com/)..) Then, use the link that the site gives you and post it here!
