Out soon on DVD: "Diary of a Teenage Girl" (its star Belle Powley might be a Brit, she also plays Princess Margaret in an upcoming Brit film--she plays an American in "Diary" though)..."Grandma" starring Lily Tomlin and Sam Elliott...I want to see these. "Irrational Man" came out on DVD, but that flick left a bad taste (and was in bad taste, featuring a murderer not feeling guilty at all, quite the opposite). Rather perverse.

The Linda McCartney Story. A Beatles/Paul fan friend of mine wants to see it. I finally found it online in DVD (have it recorded off TV in VHS) And yes, I know a lot of you hate this movie, so don't bother with negative comments. Thanks. Elizabeth Mitchell and Gary Bakewell (they later married in real life, but were divorced several years later) She went on to star in the TV show "Lost."

saw the movie "Everest" based on the book of the same name I had read--very sad and tragic--they should have realized climbing Mt. Everest is way too dangerous for non-professionals and even for pro's if an unexpected storm hits at the top I saw "Love the Coopers" and loved it, despite some corny moments, starring a terrific cast of John Goodman, Diane Keaton, Olivia Wilde, Amanda Seigfried, Alan Arkan, Jake Lacey, Ed Helms (I got a little crush on Ed Helms after seeing this)...saw "Miss You Already" starring Drew Barrymore, Toni Collette, Donel Logue with his perpetual 80's hairstyle and Paddy Considine. I fancied Paddy a bit, seeing this. A moving dramedy (humor and laughs interspersed with the heartbreaking tragedy), liked that it's set in England and shows some of Charlotte Bronte's famous moors as well as some good parts of London and gorgeous English parks with ponds. Drew and Toni two of my faves. I could have seen "Diary of a Teenage Girl" and "Rock the Casbah" with Bill Murray, we rented these but I lost my desire to see them. They reportedly are not very enjoyable. "Sisters" comes out soon, and my sister is going to buy it. Stars Tina Fey and Amy Polar

Forgot to include, about the movie "Love The Coopers," its wonderful soundtrack overseen by T-Bone Burnett. Sounds so good

I just bought "Scenes from a Mall" "Angie" "Boys" and "Normal" on DVD and also recently bought ten DVDs from a pawn shop, all comedies, can't wait to see "A Mighty Wind" again and also got "Boris and Natasha," "Chuck and Larry," "Will Smith as Hitch" "the Hangover" "Best in Show" and a few lesser knowns such as a flick about Peter Sellers starring Geoffrey Rush (I love G.R.) and an HBO flick "Dinner With Friends" starring Toni Collette, Greg Kinear, Dennis Quaid
