TRex:
Last night's Charlotte show was top quality in every way. However my wife and I both noticed something a bit odd. Paul never introduced the other band members. Anyone have any ideas why?
He never does introduce them by name, no idea why.

Worst sound I have ever heard at a concert! was in 224 as well. absolutly terrible!!! could not hear anything Paul said between songs. performance was good though. great to hear(badly) some of the new songs! wish we would have got set list 2 but still good song list. needs to drop drive my car, blackbird & elenor rigby though.
That is weird, was in Section 204 and it was clear as a bell. I believe 204 is further from the stage than 224.

Man, great show last night Sound was a bit muddy from my side though Darn jerk offs behind me who started yelling "Sit Down" on song #2 and refused to stop until the wife made me sit down...our entire section 224, never stood until the very end of the show...what's wrong with these people!!! The couple next to me talked the entire show, I never said a word to them, its their business... I don't get these people........ Paul's Something was the best I have ever heard him play it......he seemed to really enjoy the crowd....
Guess you guys were in the wrong section (sorry). Had a bunch of people near me dancing most of the night including a couple of twenty-something young ladies. My daughters also danced the night away. Had a couple of "stuffed" shirts in the section but the majority was having a blast. (was in section 204)

Did anyone get up on stage?

It was a great show. He is so charismatic. Total package. Glad those unused Silver/Gold Package tickets popped up for only $250 on Monday or I would've missed this one. It's always great being so close to the action.

Last night was my 20th Paul show and easily the most special. Took my 13 year old son, who was raised on Paul's stuff and is finally old enough to take to a show. I had tears in my eyes all night as he screamed, danced and sang along to ALL the songs. It was an incredible evening and one I will never foget. Paul is, without question, the best there was, is and ever will be. Thank you Paul.

No, no one on stage last night, but I did see him sign a CD case at the very end, after 2nd encore (I think). It was all the way over on Rusty's side.

Wow. I strongly disagree. It wasnt rude at all. Everyone knows who the band members are and he knows that. He thanked his band. He thanked the sound guy. The thanked the crew. I thought he was VERY humble and nice. [quote="TRex"]Just now recovering from the great show in Charlotte. Top quality EVERYTHING. Does anyone know why Paul didn't/doesn't introduce his band? It seemed kind of... rude.

He never does that. He does thank them right before Sgt Peppers though.

WOW!!! What a show!!! Rylikes9, It was so nice to meet you and sit next to you. Im glad you danced and jumped around like I did. ) Was nice to meet your mom too. Here's a review of the show from the local paper this morning. The reporter even quoted me!!! However, she misunderstood that this was my 5th Paul show...not my 2nd. My 2nd Charlotte show...maybe thats where the confusion came from. Anyway, here's the link. A very nice review. http//blogs.creativeloafing.com/vibes/2010/07/29/live-review-paul-mccartney/comment-page-1/#comment-4639 Here's another local review too http//blogs.creativeloafing.com/vibes/2010/07/29/live-review-paul-mccartney/comment-page-1/#comment-4639 I'm uploading pictures as I type. Will post shortly. Unforgettable night. I'm sad today that it's over. Paul saw my sign!!! It said "I wanna hold (then the "hold" was crossed out) SHAKE your hand!" He saw it and FINALLY acknowledged it by doing a little nod and kind of shaking his own hand and looking at me. I hope someone got that on video! He saw my parents sign too that said "Welcome Back" and acknowledged it as well. Also! During Live and Let Die...I thought my eyelashes burned off those flames were so hot!! He seems so friendly and seems very down to earth. I wish it was easier to meet him!!!

Mark, thanks so much for sharing your pictures and video! Very nice...LOVED seeing these!!!

Great man, I was so disappointed for my 11 year old and 7 year old who had been so psyched to go see the show. Having to tell them to sit down, no, you can't dance and party was a real bummer.....wife is alot more subdued than I am...I thought about telling the jerks behind me what they could do with it, but we just "bumbled down in our seats"....still great show all the way!!

Some random notes. 1. Thought it was funny moment with the NC license plate that spelled out Pauls name "MCCARTNY". and Paul' joking about it. I also like the bit about showing off by playing so many different guitars. 2. My wife agreed with me that we liked this setlist better than the one at Citifield last summer. Enjoyed the different Wings songs especially "1985" and the addition of "I've Just Seen A Face", Obla Di Obla Da" and "And I Love Her". 3. Maybe it was me but I thought McCartney really enjoyed doing the different Wings songs and Fireman songs. 4. It still amazes me how much better Wings songs sound live, they just rock harder.

pgee- That's a bummer! Sorry people around you were being lame. It wasnt that way at all in my section. People were rocking out and having a blast. I stood the entire time!! I would have had to say something to them.

what's that about 'silver/gold v.i.p. packages available monday for 250 dollars???? oh wish I'd known that would have snapped it up i'd had the chance to snare a row 8 ground level ticket, but feared tall people would stand in front of me the whole concert (i'm just 5 ft. 1)--not complaining though, i'm on an incredible high from seeing paul in person in concert last night i don't know what i'd do if i were that close. proximity to paul might prove too much for me, i might have tried to crawl past the barrior somehow to get to him on stage and been carried out by police and forbidden to watch the show(would probably have kept my cool though if in the front rows) ... absolutely incredible fantastic show ...the very best concert i've ever attended ...will write more in depth in the review i will send the designated e mail addy later on. for now a few personal observations and experiences: i call it my 'pilgrimage to macca (not mecca)' because i rode buses to charlotte, extended the trip. i didn't want to risk my old car breaking down before i got to see my macca at 4 p.m. on the great day, waiting at the charlotte bus stop to go downtown, i spied a very long white strech limo with dark windows pass by and thought maybe my precious angel paul was inside--but when i got to the time warner cable arena (was among the very first few people who waited at the doors), a nice security guard said macca had been on stage 'for three hours, tuning and fine tuning'--can you imagine must be his fabled perfectionism...i think he can play guitar very well, by now, don't you paul did this for his southern fans, just as he doubtless does for everyone and the results were glorious, victorious amazing sound the staff events person said'we can't open the doors 'til the boss (macca) says so' ( )--people kept coming over, impatiently asking 'when ya gonna open the doors????' mostly men--they must be in love with paul too albeit platonically, for the most part :

I was F1 (Brians side), Row D (4).

Worst crowd I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure my friend and I were the front row for a few songs. Plus notes, got waved to and my sign on the big screen.
