New Stage Design

For the opening night in Orlando on 5/18, I'll be sitting in sec. 116, row 1.... (front row of the lower level, in the closest lower level section to the stage.) Before the show starts, I'll take a pic with my iPhone, and if signal is good enough inside the arena, I'll post it here... So that way, everyone will know exactly what to expect with the layout, and just how far the front row floor seats are from the stage.
Sounds like a plan! Thank you!!!!
-
I will also be in Orlando opening night, Hot Sound. So I will post back, but from what I can tell it looks likes those in the front row are the same distance away from Paul and the band as it always has been except for the two songs there will be a rising platform.
-
it looks like the platform rises up *in front* of the stage - you can see the roadies moving around near the drums and grand piano behind Paul as he is singing. So the audience has to be farther back as a result.

Wow. I hope he doesn't take a step back and fall off that thing. Cool effect, though!

No kidding! maybe that's why he's only using for acoustic numbers?
Actually I think there is a railing behind him, you can see it before the platform starts to move. :whew:

Good! Don't want anything to happen to Macca!

The clock is ticking....sorry, I'm not going to give up on this!!!! Less than one week to Orlando and less than 2 weeks until Memphis!!!! VERY BUMMED!!!! The "NEW" interactive seat map on Ticketmaster for the Memphis concert does indicate the platform in front of the stage. Not pleased about this at all!!!! I feel like I was grossly mislead on how close my 3rd row Hot Sound Package ticket would actually be to the real stage!!!! Not only that, but I feel responsible for my two friends who will also be in this row, as they wouldn't have bought their tickets had it not been for me. They are deeply disappointed as well!!!! Not only that, but I saw a few former Hot Sound Pkg seats (that did not sell) for $250 today on Ticketmaster. A great deal, but maybe an indicator that they were no longer worth the $1500 price tag? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - POWERS THAT BE - DO AWAY WITH THE PLATFORM!!!! IT SERVES NO GOOD PURPOSE EXCEPT FOR KEEPING US FURTHER AWAY FROM PAUL, WHEN WE PAID GOOD MONEY TO BE CLOSER THAN WE HAVE EVER BEEN!!!! PLEASE RECONSIDER ITS USE!! ONLY 2 SONGS IN THE ENTIRE SHOW....MAKES NO SENSE!!!! PLEASE...I BEG OF YOU!!

This is one of the best posts yet!

I know...I know....you are all ready to call the men in the white coats, but that's okay....I have a great sense of humor.
If I have to beg on my knees, I'll do it....I'm serious!! Not just for me, but for my friends and all of the fans who spent more than they should have to get their tickets.
-
In my opinion, a much better design, if they were absolutely hellbent on using a platform, it should have somehow been built into the existing rectangle shape of the main stage..... rather than sticking out separately in front of it.... Really poor usage of space. But whatever.

She's just bummed because she's not getting what she was expecting to, based on previous tours. I'm sure quite a few VIP package holders will be greatly disappointed after spending $3000-$4000 on a pair of tickets that located farther away than they expected. A good time will surely be had.... but i'd rather buy a $570 'regular' pair of tickets and take a nice vacation with the additional $2430-$3430 i saved.

Why did you say the same thing twice? It's still 'really close'.... but in my opinion its not '$1500 close' or '$2000 close'. That is the issue.

I'm in row 3 in Indy, The seat charts I have seen,I can't even find my seats ! The numbers stop then start up again with some missing numbers. I don't see seats 14 & 15 anywhere in the row. I am upset....where are my seats ? that I paid so much for?
-
Good luck, I have called the box office on numerous times for an explanation. They tell me to call ticketmaster, ticketmaster tells you to call the box office. My tickets are located on the interactive map but this is the first time I ever saw the numbers jump between the floor sections like that. If you find anything out let us know.

I like the new stage design!
