It's good to hear that anglo republicans like yourself... love non-racial music like the drifters and the stones did and do. What songs have you written and recorded that we may scrutinize for posterity?

I just love this kind of Trivia. thank you for posting this Wonderful song! it takes me back to when I was a cool teen. (what did I know?lol. nothing at this age I am now! WOW!) and this song was playing, at the Carnival Fair, as I was going on all those Scary rrr Rides! it was a Grand time, for me! Cotton Candy, and Ice cream. and Lolly Pops! hehehe! loved the Drifters on TV in the 60's. it's that sound, that brought me joy, in my soul. I loved, "Save the Last Dance for Me"!!! oh? then the song,, for Romance sake, "Love Letters In The Sand. not that I liked a lot of Pat Boone. but it was nice, and sweet. for lovers, at that time.

what song, lasted for 29 minuets, and 45-seconds, in the 60's clues later! it was a great song, it Tunred me ON! I got HI! HI! HI! anyone?
-
ooops sorry, it was 20 minuets, corrected time bye

Nice thread idea rich! Couldn't let your mention of CONEY ISLAND get by w/o putting my 2cents worth in. Dad use to take us kids every Saturday ....we were beside ourselves! The BEACH, the BOARDWALK, STEEPLECHASE PARK, NATHAN'S HOT DOG STAND, the CYCLONE rollercoaster, and my very favorite, the magificent CAROUSEL RIDE! To this day when I see one in any form it moves me. Here's a clip I found and I think the music accompaniment is so appropro. Kind of a bittersweet melody that's so fitting for the memories I have associated with it. Enjoy! Oh, you'll notice the WONDERWHEEL Ride at the onset of the clip...I was stuck at the very top for approx. and hour ops: I thought I was going to die of fright...then the darn thing finally got going Here it is...

We used to go there a lot as a kid as well. Several times a year at least. We used to live in Elmont on Long Island and we had a lot of fun there. Sadly, we've been there one time in the not so distant past (I think my now 12 year old daughter was around 4 or 5 at the time) and I couldn't believe what happened to the place I was reluctant to get out of the car just to go into Nathans
-
Yeah, kind of sad that things went so downhill...my friends still go there quite a bit though and enjoy it. I guess they've rebuilt the BOARDWALK and it's just a little above the beach sand....can't wrap my head around that concept at all??? Ya know... 'Under the Boardwalk'...that's where we had lots of fun!! Anyway, strap yourselves in ....we're going for a little ride, Cyclone style!!!.....Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I still can't believe they took that 'Welcome to Brooklyn' sign down from just up the street on that highway - That's 'Sweathog' legend they're messing with there

Isn't that where a Brady Bunch episode was once filmed, the one where Mike's architect sketches were switched by mistake and the family had to race through the park to get the sketches to him? Speaking of the Brady Bunch, check this out... Youtube:
And was also filmed in the Brady house a year after the Bradys went off the air (note many changes but house still recognizable). Along the same lines... -
'PAUL McCARTNEY" as an anagram: "PAY MR CLEAN-CUT". It's quite funny!
