John- that sounds MUCH more likely!
wonder if the set will stay the same right through or he'll continue doing the song swaps here and there.
I'm curious as to this aspect as well. This wasn't something that started really in his career at all, until the Up and Coming Tour...and even then, the swaps became predictable! Since I'm only seeing one show on this tour, I'd prefer he pick a set and stick to it.
Same with me for Vienna gig, Paul has a habit of removing the new songs after a while
Yup... And by the time Europe gets a proper string of dates...

It freaks me out a little when he starts doing swaps, I wanted to throw something at him when he picked And I Love Her instead of I've Just Seen a Face in Dublin 2010 and I was having nightmares that he was going to play MMT instead of Hello Goodbye in Liverpool 2011!!
I've just seen a face/ And I love her are the two I've heard the most and I'm okay not hearing them again. Would LOVE to hear I'm Looking Through You/ I Will combo again! And of course, some of the more "rarer" ones...Hope of Deliverance...Two of us...Things We Said Today...Michelle
Have heard IJSAF twice and AILH once, so hoping for a different acoustic combination. 'Michelle' usually only get played in France or Canada.

5th-beatle:
My first concert was in 2010, so I would love to hear some Beatles songs that were only performed in Brazil during the 1990 & 1993 tours, such as: The Fool On The Hill Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (full song) Can't Buy Me Love We Can Work It Out Michelle Here, There and Everywhere Penny Lane
Its a mystery why he's left these out for so long

Can't Buy Me Love in particular, it's Let it Be levels of big!

I'd like Paul to throw in some of the stuff he's never done live, or rarely done live: Lovely Rita Honeypie Your Mother Should Know World Without Love What You Doing Martha My Dear Back Seat Of My Car Young Boy Beautiful Night Anyway I want to hold your hand Maybe even If I Fell.

I want more changes, I don't want him to play it safe, I want him to really go for it, a setlist like this... Juniors Farm Getting Closer Hi Hi Hi I've Had Enough Listen To What The Man Said Rockestra Theme House Of Wax That Was Me This Never Happened Before Too Much Rain Promise To You Girl See Your Sunshine Somebody Who cares Friends To Go One Of These Days The Mess Big Barn Bed Girlschool Take It Away No More Lonely Nights Cafe On The Left Bank What It Is For Harrison Tribute - For You Blue Lennon Tribute - Revolution - If McCartney performed this scorching rocker, the roof would absolutely come off the place! Seems to me many people don't want McCartney to stretch out enough!
I'd die and go to heaven if he put stuff like that in the tour! ...but I don't think he will...

I'm pretty sure "Michelle" will be played in Washington DC as well... he did last time.
-
I wonder if he'll continue to have 5 or 6 song swaps, including two different openers. Maybe Venus and Mars for arenas and I Saw Her Standing There for stadiums.

I'm really hoping he does considering Barack got re-elected! That's the only reason we heard it last time, and this will probably be his last oppourtunity to milk it in that fashion!

Well one things for sure Paul can't really go back to Brazil after a year and play the same set, that would be plain daft, same goes for the US cities that were visited in 2009-2011.

Actually, I'd say the setlist has changed almost enough from 2009 to 2013 where he could. 2009 was the last time he played in the DC area and there are a lot of songs that haven't been played here! -Venus and Mars/ Rock Show -Junior's Farm -Letting Go -The Night Before -1985 -My Valentine -I'm Looking Through You -Two of Us -I've Just Seen a Face -And I Love Her -Things We Said Today -Hope of Deliverance -Ob, La, Di- Ob La-Da -Golden Slumbers Medley probably missed a few...
-
I predict he will add even more Beatles songs and a few more from the Wings Over America era, and drop more recent solo offerings like stuff from Memory Almost Full and The Fireman. He's gonna give the people what they want.

This may astupid question but I am curious, what is the significance of Hope of Deliverence in South America?? Why does he play that there and not here?

Good question. I'd only known it to be a European hit. My old roommate was from Luxembourg (near Belgium), and he and another friend immediately recognized the song one day when I'd randomly began strumming it on guitar.

The song has sort of an exotic latin flavor, rhythmically, with the strumming style and percussion, so maybe Paul figured that would resonate well with South American audiences... That's my guess.

Probably. I doubt Paul remembers the great reaction from the audience to that song in 1993.

Well, I can´t go as far as predicting a whole set list, but I'd say he would drop 3 or 4 songs to get some in, maybe Sing The Changes, Lady Madonna, Helter Skelter, replace them with Venus and Mars/Rock Show, Letting Go, probably (dreaming) Listen To What The Man Said, Silly Love Songs, since he's relaunching Wings Over America. Now, on the acoustic set, I think he'll maybe put Two Of Us & I Will back, would be wise to play Calico Skies & I'll Follow The Sun again. Hope of Deliverance has a good chance of being played, but not in every show. Being a whole new tour, and with the fact that he hasn't changed more than half of the set list since 2008, many users of these fórums would think he maybe changes more tan 5 songs, but I think that's an illusion, and Paul will end up performing the same set list over and over again. I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't think so.
