?That?s me, one of the earliest heavy-metal records. Paul?s contribution was the way Ringo played the drums.? John Lennon - Playboy interview, September 8-28, 1980.
Okay, well I'm just telling you what Ringo said...the man that played the part. : John had a very skewed concept on songwriting credits through his entire career anyway.
Lol, what's with the eye-rolling. Of course, McCartney and Lennon didn't even agreed themselves on how much they both contributed to the song, let alone on what Lennon said about the drum arrangement 15 years later. By any means, it would be one mean 'The World'-like addition to any set!
I don't want Paul to do "Ticket to Ride" he didn't sing the original and there's so many that he could be using his voice on instead.
I'm with you. No Gently Weeps, no more tribute songs, ... he has a monster catalogue to exploit: let's hear more of that.

The impossible songs: Here a list of song too hard to sing for him: No more lonely night Oh Darling Baby's in black

I don't hear why he can't sing "No More Lonely Nights"? And I don't know why he would ever sing "Baby's in Black" anyway...another very JOHN and Paul song...
-
They've had enough time to go over some new, different set list additions/replacements, don't y'all think? and to do them well enough to add 'em to the shows No shortage of talent, there
-
I would realy like to hear "Every Night" this time around, as well. There are just so many!!!

He breaks this out like once a tour...don't know why it isn't a staple in recent years! Guess the "Back in the..." series was the last to have it as such.

Yeah, and then it was solo/acoustic (which is fine because I like that version) but this particular band does a great job with it... don't know why they haven't played it more often! Bluebird & Hope of Deliverance were another couple of songs that just didn't get played enough!

Would adore No More Lonely Nights, but I think the "never be another..." lyric would be tough to reach. I so hope I am wrong. He might be able to sing the playout version flawlessly, though. I'd be up for it, but only if it is preceded by a recording of Bryan Brown saying "Gentlemen, I thought you'd like to be the first to know?we've got the tapes."

I hope he thinks up some new songs for the acoustic set. I don't expect Blackbird, Here Today, Something or, Eleanor Rigby to leave but... I've Just Seen a Face And I Love Her --- Dance Tonight Mrs. Vandebilt ...should all be gone for this tour.

I'm with you 75 percent of the way... only because every show I attended didn't include "And I Love Her" And I'd Love to Here It!! The other 3 I've seen, so I can happily move on to something else

I totally get that. That's me with "Hello Goodbye". But, I've heard "I've Just Seen a Face" and "And I love Her" twice now...so I'm good. There are still plenty of acoustic band songs he's played on the mini-tours I haven't heard tho... -Every Night -Two of Us -Things We Said Today -Hope of Deliverance

I've heard "Every Night" a number of times and could do without it, and only heard "Two of Us" a couple of times (maybe only once?) and "Things We Said Today" one magical time in Montreal. I wouldn't mind hearing the last two again, but I'd give up hearing all of these songs to hear "HOD" just once!

Really? Huh...I didn't realize you liked it.

I want to hear Penny Lane this time. I also would LOVE to hear Little Lamb Dragonfly! (I don't think it will happen )

That's a pretty fantastic set Chris but.....you gotta put "Yesterday" back in there. It's on that list of untouchables, ya know?

Why thank you, I figured it would make a pretty damn fantastic show! Good Day Sunshine as an opener...extend the intro slightly behind a screen/curtain then when it gets to the little drum run the curtain opens and GOOOD DAY SUNSHINE! It's in there, I just moved it too earlier in the set...WOA style. EVERYONE knows it's coming in the second encore, the first bars of Yesterday need to be a surprise again!
