So is dinner included in all Sound Check packages? When we bought the tickets it was an extra $50 for dinner. Not sure what that was about.

Did you but a sound check package through SloTix? The diner is included in the $2000 and $1500 package. No extra $50 for dinner.

Yeah, I bought it through ticket master, but on the way to check out it said something like "would you like to add dinner for $50-something dollars?" we opted for no. We did the Hot Sound package for $1,500 a piece.

The Hot Sound Package for $1500 always includes dinner/drinks.

I think some of the venues try to get you to buy their dinner. They apparently don't know what they are selling in the first place.

They do not have a clue of what is being sold in the packages. When I called about what door to enter, they kept asking if I had bought Gold or Silver. I kept telling them Front Row, that Gold and Silver does not go to sound check. I was told the wrong door. Surprise, surprise.

Did anybody get their tickets mailed, or pick up only at will call?

My ticket for Lincoln came in the mail just like a regular TM ticket as I chose that option. Then later I got the email w/ all the details.

Maybe the sound of no people yelling is best for Paul if SC fans are kept back? Maybe some rowdy folks at an earlier SC got too distracting?
I don't know . . .we were told at s/c on Monday to yell songs or whatever we wanted. That Paul wanted to know we were having a good time and nothing would bother him. He didn't answer back to anything I yelled (maybe that just means he doesn't love me as much as I love him?) He did do the song I screamed for tho.

I wasn't given any other option but will call for this show. For all the others they mailed me the tickets. I just spoke with the Sprint box office and will call is already open so I'm going down there to pick them up.

Gosh! Now I am a little nervous that our seats for Nashville aren't gonna be where I think they are. We've got section 2 seats 7 and 8... The map on ticket master says it's in the center of row 3. I hope it's accurate. Do you just know any other way to tell?
We were all nervous about our seats for Lincoln too! I had 3rd row, seat 11 in the center section. The TM diagram for the show was 3 sections separated by aisles. However we found out after we bought tickets that the first 5 rows would go all the way across (I believe it was this way in Chicago too) . . .WTF? What they did was start renumbering where the 3 individual sections would have started. So in that 3rd row, there was a seat 1 at the very right, then another seat 1 where the aisle would have been in the middle, etc. I was really relieved to finally get to my seat and see where it was

These venues need to do something to show us our seats BEFORE we purchase them.
I agree 100%.
Thats what I've been saying for the San Diego concert. For example they only tell you front row. They expect you to plunk down $2000. without really knowing if the seat is in the center or out side or which side or anything. Crazy. I found this going on at every ticket vendor for San Diego.

My $2000 seat was the worst ticket I have had in 48 concerts.

Linda, I'm so sorry to read about your experience. I find it is always better to do the $1500 pkg instead of front row. Front row is almost NEVER center section, but the side sections. The only saving grace is most venues allow the front row to stand at the rail. Last year I got super lucky and pulled up front row center for (for Boston, I think?) but that's the only time it has happened.... Were you allowed to stand at the rail?
-
^^ My $1500.00 was just as bad. I was on the end on Brian's side.
-
generally the front row packages are side and I remember seeing warnings on the page. I've been told numerous times that they control the center block of the shows in the front row. However, soundcheck I have been happy 99% of the time. In the USA it does show you what seat and section you have so if you do a little homework, you can usually tell where the seat is
-
It's the same in South America: front row package always includes seats on the sides, which is why I never pay for those. Last time I bought regular seats on Rows 2-7, and a couple of weeks later they offered upgrade packages with soundcheck to anyone who had a ticket, so it was like paying for a Hot Sound package in two installments. Things are different in Brazil, where it's general admission. Everyone is standing on the field, so if you buy a Hot Sound package you enter the stadium ahead of 30.000-50.000 other fans who spent days camping outside in tents (a huge advantage, obviously), and it's usually a group of 50-100 people (except at the biggest shows), so you will almost certainly watch the show from the front row, sometimes right at the center.

Hi 5thBeatle: I tried general admission vip in Liverpool at the Academy (Dec 2010). Boy! It was a riot. A very large unruly crowd, about 600, & Paul actually drove thru it to enter. I was 27th in line right up to that time than pushed back to probably 200th. Still somehow I did get up to 2nd row just behind a few of the Band on the run folks. I doubt that I'll do that again, that's for the younger fans. Also: The best ticket I ever got was Wales (June 2010). I went for row 2 $700 & was bumped up into row 1 not center but between Paul & Rusty. I swear I heard Paul's voice without the amplification & he was really sweet, smiled several times. I still have hope that will happen again someday.

I hope you be able to see him soon again, and if you can get close the stage that will be even better!
