Horrible presale this morning. Philadelphia was way easier Monday. But, that's also a city he visited less than a year ago and its double the size of Verizon Center...so I suppose all of that should be accounted for.
did you manage to get anything? we completely struck out (for the first time, btw -- i've been to 8 paul shows and never had a problem with presales). nothing but VIP-priced tickets we can't afford, and one section with obstructed view.
Nope. I could've gotten a sixth row Gold VIP ticket, but I can't afford two VIP tix in the same summer. I hope we get a second night in DC because there will barely be any tickets left for the general sale come Monday, and they'll go fast. For every concert on the Out There tour, I used the PM fan club presale run through the website and never had a problem. Sure it could be frustrating, but I always got the tickets I set out for whether it was a Gold Package or nosebleeds. Prior to the Out There tour, it was tough. We used to try the AMEX presale but it never worked. The only reason I got to see him at Citi Field and Philly '10 was because they added the extra night DURING the sales. While everyone was struggling to get tickets for a sold out show, we saw the new links for a second (or third) night and got in with no problem.

Yeah, same here. I've never had a problem. Sure, it could be a stressful 30 minutes or so figuring out whether to dump tickets to try for better ones, but I never got totally shut out. My husband and I are gearing up for a baby in the fall, so we can't really justify a VIP package this summer. We were really just hoping for some nice seats in one of the 100s sections, where we could see things well and I could sit down if need be and not be blocked by people. I just really hope we get a second DC date, or tickets miraculously aren't *too* ridiculous on StubHub once we get closer to the date and people start reducing ticket prices. That's a huge gamble though, obviously. UGH.

Exactly. It's always so hard to say, even when we feel like we know everything and have the experience! My hope was to get $250 seats on the floor or 100 section for the first night...and then try my luck the week of the shows and see if I could pull any VIP packages for night two that had been stripped of their goodies and brought down to face value. But at this rate, I don't see me getting in the door on August 9th...here's to a second night!

I had 5th row floor dead center in 2005 for $200 or so. This year 6th row, $1,600, oh but you get to go to soundcheck. i just can't swing that, birthday week or not. My D.C. streak is at an end.

HERE IS WHERE THE PRE-SALE TICKETS ARE: They're for sale now We all were in competition with a ticket agency! Can't remember how I got that website up but there are tickets there. I was competing on my one finger Kindle against a ticket buyer pro.

Which website is it? Ticketmaster or something else?

Good to hear it wasn't just me. I kept getting an error "Your order cannot be processed at this time, try again later." It was pretty frustrating, and eventually gave up. Never had a big problem before. Glad I at least have Hershey in the bank. If I couldn't get DC now (or no 2nd night), I could live with that. Might try the AMEX sale, but not sure that will be any better.

Jumbo Tickets seems to have "our" presale tickets. Of course, not face value.

Giving the AMEX presale a shot in ten minutes here...

Forty minutes later and...WE'RE IN!!! Two shows with Paul this summer!!! WOOO!!! My eleventh, and this will be my girlfriend's second Paul show! I really wanted floor seats, bu the only ones that came up were so far back and my girlfriend is too short for that. We would need to be in like the first ten rows, and even then it only takes one tall person to ruin that. So! We're Section 111 Row K Seats 5+6 It's like smack in the middle of the 100's section on the piano side of the stage. Should be an excellent view!

Thanks everyone! Gonna be great- as always! Hope to see many Fans on The Run and Macca Boardies there!

My friend and I decided to go for the Am. Express pre-sale as she has that card. She didn't want to spend much so we will be way up in the nose bleeds but at least we'll be there. End of ticket stress for now. Yeaaa. See ya there.

Guess we're not getting a second night! Kinda surprised...just overpriced nosebleeds left. I thought for sure they'd capitalize on a second night since the last time he was here he sold out a ballpark twice the size!
-
As of 645 PM Eastern time on 4/25 the TM map shows a lot of "resale" tix at above normal price. What a shame. Maybe a second night will still be added.....could be.....
-
We're not getting a second night. I've never known Paul to add them later on. It's usually a "spur of the moment" kind of thing when sales are hot right at the onsale time. They probably could've made a lot more money on this show and made the fans a lot happier if they had lowered each ticket price about $50 and added a second night.

Looking at the size of the Verizon Center and his current tour schedule, I was convinced that they were going to add a 2nd night. Another show was just added in Cleveland; maybe he'll add another one in DC. I am not usually one to criticize concert ticket prices. I was able to see Bruce Springsteen earlier this year; and while I heard a lot of criticism about the prices, for an amazing 3-hour and 15-minute show, it was worth it. How do Paul's ticket prices this time compare to last time around? (I wasn't able to see him then.)
