McCartney (hypothetical) "last concert" song picks
-
One of the favorite topics on here seems to be which songs you want to hear McCartney play. I thought it might be fun to crowd source a playlist, so here's my question: Suppose you could choose 5 songs that would be played at the *LAST* time you got to see Paul live. For the purposes of the hypothetical, assume his voice is where it's at now, and that you're hearing the songs live at a stadium or arena concert. *The reason for the "last" qualifier is I'm curious about your absolute top 5. For example, I love ***** (one of his most famous songs - hopefully that's not taboo on here!). If I were just voting for 5 songs for a concert, I probably wouldn't include ***** because he'd likely play it anyway and/or enough other people would vote for it. For the purpose of this exercise, you SHOULD vote for your *****(s). Another way to think about it is imagine this is not only the last time you get to see him live, but also that the show will only be 5 songs. I created a form on Google to collect the responses. I have no idea if enough people will fill it out (my guess is "no"), but if they do, I'll post some aggregate setlists. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1RYj79gQ9z2ddfkhDjljhCRu9psYoa2yM863TRcfjTVI/viewform Feel free to post your top 5 below too, but try not to let other peoples' votes influence yours - the goal is to vote for your absolute favorites!

Is this a poll? Are you keeping track? Just listing songs seems a waste of time to me!
-
^Agreed. And I highly doubt his last concert will be planned as such. It'll most likely be the final concert of a tour or some planned appearance, and then he'll decide to stop touring some time after and it will just end up being the final gig he ever played.

Well, my apologies for not following the rules. I tossed all those song picks up on there without going back and studying the thread. With five as the number I should have gone by, I am taking one from each decade of his career, excluding the current one... 1960s--Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End 1970s--Maybe I'm Amazed 1980s--No More Lonely Nights 1990s--Beautiful Nights 2000s--Sing the Changes
