I love this song live, it's just so heart-felt to me. But, I'm sure he'll come up with a new stunning tribute to John if he doesn't play this! And how can I complain...I've heard it live five times...a song that Paul said he'd NEVER do live back in the day!
I feel like after 11 years the sincerity is gone and it's just part of the show.
It's only been in the show 6 years...he stopped playing it for a while in the middle there.

I hate to say it but, I think "Here Today" is gonna be dropped this time around.
Hope so!

Personally, I don't need anymore tributes, period. The fact that he continues to perform Beatles' music is already tribute enough. If he wants, he can dedicate a song, ala '89-'90: "I want to dedicate this to three mates of mine, George, Ringo & John...." and then promptly went into Fool On The Hill. I promise, nobody will take offense.

I'm tired of it too.

We'll see how long this one stays up: http://osgarotosdeliverpool.blogspot.com/2013/04/revelada-plataforma-da-nova-turne-de_27.html
and where are they on this page?
You mean where were they. Paul's people should work for Homeland Security.
LOL! Yes, the President could use them! Thanks for grabbing them.

Personally, I don't need anymore tributes, period.
Perhaps Paul needs them. At any rate, a new selection of tribute songs wouldn't be a bad idea.

Wouldnt mind seeing Paul perform. Watching the Wheels. One of my favorite post Beatle Lennon songs. Or maybe Jealous Guy or Instant Karma.
-
Anyone heard any confirmation that the band is rehearsing magneto and titanium man? I dont see this being a soundcheck song at all. If it is being rehearsed im sure its for the main show. I think it would be a fantastic addition.

Please don't quote just part of what I said, without including the other half! It's a bit of taking my overall statement out of context, and I don't like it.

Secondly, I don't think he "needs" to do tributes. He managed his shows just fine without tribute songs in 1989-90, and again in 1993. John's been gone over 32 years now, and it's been over 11 years for George. We've healed. Those tributes take up valuable setlist space that could be used for something else. Like I said before (although you decided to omit from my earlier quoting, which makes me seen insensitive!), there's nothing wrong with a few brief words to acknowledge John and George.... but in my personal opinion, we don't really need two full tribute songs anymore.... Feel free to disagree..

No but I would LOVE it! I'd also love to hear this early Beatles number...

With this setup, I kinda feel bad for those who paid $2,000 per ticket, for the Front Row package.... since those seats are typically front row, but off to the sides.... That leaves a HUGE gap between their seats and the stage, based on this setup.
This had better not be the configuration for Memphis!!! We were told sections 1, 2, and 3 are in the front. I paid $1500 for Sec. 2, row D-WTF is going on?!!

No, that's Orlando. This is the floor in Memphis! Chill!

ops: Sorry, I just freaked out a little bit there. Been under a lot of stress lately (Dad broke his hip and it's been one thing after another since then, medical-wise.)

Sorry to hear that, hope things start to look up for you guys.

It seems Hope Of Deliverance will make it into the setlist of at least one of the concerts in Brazil. If he adds some songs from Wings Over America (Silly Love Songs, Listen To What The Man Said, Soily, Letting Go, Venus And Mars) and the other ones previously mentioned (All Things Must Pass, With A Little Luck, Cut Me Some Slack), this will be a truly unforgettable tour!

My thoughts is that he does these tributes mostly for himself. Yes, I also think in some way he does also do it for the fans, but I think the tributes to John and George are more for him than us. So while we all may "have healed" they were still his very dear friends.

I have been told that MJ Kim is upset about his pictures being shown without his permission.

I agree with you about the tributes. McCartney has paid respect to his late friends and does not need to do it every concert he performs. I don't hear him mentioning Linda McCartney at every show although everybody knows when he plays "Maybe I'm Amazed" or "My Love" it is about Linda.

I'm guessing that is why the pictures have disappeared from most places, but they are out now. I am a bit concerned about the platform part of the stage and being on the floor in Memphis. I hope it will be used like the hydraulic arm was used in 1993. I must be in the minority. I like the tribute songs. John, George and Linda were a major part of Paul's life. They tear me up and usually, at least one of the songs tears Paul up. While Paul may no longer mention Linda's name, the videos include their children and photos taken by her. It's definitely a tribute.
