dsmpaul I agree with you. The difference between seat 1 being in the middle as opposed to the outside is night and day. I'm in the middle section for Friday so seat number isn't important. For Saturday I played it safe with seat number 15, I'm assuming somewhere in the middle. I was trying to get seats for a friend and sec 5 came up with seats 1 and 2. I think they are on center aisle but passed because I wasn't sure, if I was wrong I didn't want to stick her on the outside. I can't see why all arena's and stadium's can't add the seat numbers to their seat maps.

UPS just dropped off the tickets. Instead of the usual ticketmaster printed format, these are a bit larger with the outline of the Yankee Stadium in the backround. Really nice for those who keep tickets to the concerts they attend. BTW is anyone in NY going to see Deep Purple tonight?

I'm going to Purple. Should be a solid show.

So seats 1 and 2 are not the first two seats on the right starting the row? What are the first seat numbers then?

If anyone has a single ticket in the upper levels available, please pm me. A friend of mine is needing a seat. Thanks.

peteooooo Should be a good show! If you see a red Anfield Sound shirt wandering by it's probably me!
-
paulmccartneyfan1 That's the problem, we can't get a definitive answer. You would think it would be on the seating diagram!

Hi guys, Does anyone know how the seat numbers run on the front field sections like in A3, A4, A5? Do they start with seat number 1 on the right facing the stage? Thanks for your help!!! Peace & Love...Nicki

There were some discussions about how the seats numbers run on the thread for the show on the 15th. Take a look on page 19.
dsmpaul:
forget 64:
So facing the stage they run right to left, sec A3 seat 1 would be the seat furthest from sec A4, and If there were 25 seats in sec A3 the section then seat 25 would be near sec A4
This seems to be correct, based on what people experienced in the past (I know that Citi Field and Fedex Field had the seats running from RH to LH when facing the stage). However nobody really knows how the layout will be for the shows at Yankee stadium, at the end of the day everything is just a guess. So again I complain that they should make it clear in the seats map, itbis so obvious and simple to be done.

Are the trains pretty frequent? and how long a journey is it, 5mins-10mins-20mins? don;t wanna be stranded in the Bronx on a saturday night if I'm honest...

You've got a really wrong image of the Bronx! Anyway, the train from Grand Central should be about 20-25 minutes on the 4.

It wasn't a slur against the Bronx, had the show been anywhere I would've said, "dont fancy being stranded in "........" on a saturday night. Was just hopeful of a bit more info regarding trains to and from Yankee Stadium, I should have said don't want to miss the train back to Manhattan and end up paying $$$$$ for a Cab back.

You won't miss the train back to Manhattan. First of all, the NYC subway runs 24 hours a day. Second of all, MTA will be running trains back to Manhattan more frequently than usual because of the show. So don't worry! Just make sure to have a loaded Metrocard ready because there are bound to be long lines at the ticket machines.

peteooooo I didn't get a chance to read your post before I left for the show. Funny, I wound up at PD O'Hurleys on W 72nd. A few pints of Harp and I was ready for the show. I thought they sounded real good, loved the orchestra.
