I've also got an email saying I'm on the waiting list as did my wife.
Hoping I don't need a Verified Fan code as I'm going straight for the SSE pre-sale for Glasgow tomorrow morning.
Good luck! Please let us know how good were the seats available on the SSE pre-sale, and if all sectors were offered.
What does SSE stand for?
Google is quite a handy resource.

I'm in Montreal and registered for the 'Verified Fan' pre-sale. I'm a long time subscriber to Paul's newsletter and received an invitation to the pre-sale. I thought that the pre-sale was a special invite to true fans, but after registering, I received a separate e-mail from the local promoter Evenko, inviting me to register. Evenko promotes almost all of the large events in Montreal, so their subscriber list is huge. So what appeared originally to be a favour to fans, turned into a free for all. That is why the disclaimer regarding demand exceeding supply appeared. In the end, I was selected, but given an opportunity to buy tickets only 3 hours after the opening of the pre-sale, at which time $309 tickets at the back of the arena were the only ones left. When I tried to change the quantity from 4 tickets to 2 tickets, no more 1st level tickets were available. What surprised me further was that the pre-sale was advertised as being by Ticketmaster, but I was directed to an Evenko website to purchase. This is not the first time that I've been registered to buy tickets from Evenko, and despite being available at the first second of the opening of the sale, been put into a "queue" where I had to wait until all of the good tickets were gone. Is the system fair? I guess someone has to get there first, but the manipulation by Evenko, rather than by a first come/first served system invites suspicion. Irksome.
I love these knee jerk reaction posts and polls

Knee jerk?

Signed up for VF for all 4 Canadian shows and all 3 in the UK. Got a code for exactly....ZIP!!!! Waiting list for all! This from someone who has been to about 50 Paul concerts. Ticketbastard has truely hit an all time despicable low!
Thankfully the AMEX presale came through for Canada. We'll see tomorrow for the UK. I do know VIP tix will be available without a code but not looking to pay those prices not knowing if that annoying small stage is still there in front.
That's true...the "not that small" stage. I hope it's gone!

You may call it as you see it, but, in fact, abuse by anyone who has monopoly power should be a concern to everyone. If you think that scalpers only get their tickets using bots, that would be a little naive. There’s a lot of money to be made by charging the difference between asking price and market price and there are literally no controls on those holding the goods. I’m not saying that that anyone is absolutely guilty of this systematically, however, the system appears suspicious. And, no, my post wasn’t knee jerk as this has happened to me previously a number of times, and the lack of availability of good tickets, even when I have been first in line, has bothered me for some time.

Me too! From the looks of the stage on at least two seating maps for shows here in Canada, it looks to still be there.

I see that stage as an excuse for an extra buffer between Paul and the audience. It's not like he doesn't make use of it, but it keeps rabid/drunk fans from getting too close to 'the legend'. After all, who's bigger than a Beatle?
When I saw Ringo in 2014 at a small venue with no security barrier in front, he definitely kept his distance from the crowd, although members of his band were obliging with handshakes and hi-fives for those right up against the stage (like me).
Even in the promo shot for the 'Freshen Up' tour, there's an even bigger than usual gap (Japan maybe?). Ain't no stage crashers happening. Period. I saw someone run onstage in Montreal 1989, even though Paul was at the piano on the back riser, and the fan (girl) never got close, he was still a bit unnerved by it.

So I've seen Paul at least 30 times - and it seems I'm not a 'Verified Fan' - so what is???
-
Didn’t get a code, what a shocker I’ve taken the view if I get to I get to go,gig wise I’ve had a great year a bucket list of artists I made years ago was completed this summer so Paul touring was icing on the cake.
So if it’s meant to be that I get to go then brilliant but I’m not losing sleep over it.

Hello!
Has anyone got Verified Fan Presale Ticket? I received text with link and code, but this link doesn't work! WHY???
Please, HELP! I need somebody...

There are 100s of tickets for sale on Viagogo already for the LIverpool gig already.I registered,my partner and daughter also registered.Non of use got a sniff at a ticket.verified fan sale is probably worse than everyone entered for a pre-sale.I looked at 3 x £89 tics and alltogether wound cost £267 face value.Would cost £520 plus postage on Viagogo.

One way or another I'll be there, however this Verified fan thing was a nonsense - should have been for people registered on here only, or with Macca ticket booking history

It's something Ticketmaster is pushing hard with bands and performers to use, saying it cuts down on the bots. It's been in use for a while in the US. And despite what they say about looking at your buying history, I still think it's just a random lottery. Sorry for those that didn't get a code, or that got one and couldn't use it (poster above who had the wrong links, I feel bad no one was able to help you).

From what I am seeing, this Verified Fan thing is screwing the people who want a regular seat. No code is needed for any of the VIP seats, correct?
-
Oh well no code came through not surprised really given the hassle I’ve heard about using this scheme,as I say if it’s not to be,it’s not to be.

Since John was murdered, I think Paul will never feel the same about getting close to fans. Never would be like this today:

I always get nervous seeing Paul in crowd situations...even though he has "security around".
