EGYPT STATION

I just got my copy this after noon after I got home from work! It put a smile on my face. I felt like Paul was waiting for me at home waiting for me to listen to his new album. And you know what? Im in love with Eygpt Station! The whole ENTIRE album I am in love with that is! Now I anxioisly wait to see if L.A will be added to his tour! Paul's new album just made me love him even more! I love how he writes his lyrics especially the ones that are personal feelings because I can relate to them. He writes his songs from his heart for us to enjoy. Thats the best way to make music in my opinion.

It's fascinating how varied and diverse all the different takes on ES are; makes one even more chompin' at the bit to hear this intriguing much discussed new offering from Paul Mc. I should have pre ordered one from Target like many here did. If anyone has an extra hard copy cd, I will send them a check right away for it and they can send it to me via snail mail right away if anyone is so good, I mean up for it to help a Macca music fan find out what the huge glorious uproar is about, LOL, I'm stuck in a little town, we don't have a Target and my car's not operating presently and I forgot how to order and pay from eBay or Amazon, and my puter won't show vids anymore for me to go to Paul's YouTube channel to watch and listen; and I tried to get the free ten day trial from SiriusXM and couldn't get a Microsoft account email addy to go through, which was a prerequisite; I'm just in a big Paul-deprived pitiful pickle !
Could I call the music dept. of a Target store and order it on the phone and they'd send it to me? Or a Barnes and Noble? Or order it online from that store? I dont dare try to from Paul's here cause something might go wrong, my ISP provider and internet and puters aren't the best

Apple Music and Amazon Prime are your friends! Do you have a HomePod or Alexa? I have both and Alexa is smarter but the Homepod sounds better--it's on the table next to me and Paul is rockin' it

So do you have anything to say about any particular song? Glad you smiled but you pretty much said very little!

Go to Target.com. Register (create a profile) Log in. Search for Egypt Station. It should be $14.99 + tax + shipping. Put in your info and credit card and buy it!

Not on here anymore. ️ (You meant Kathryn O. I see her posting on FB once in a blue moon)
You’ve been gone a long time and missed a lot. Paul was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Look it up on NBC online or watch On Demand.

Just sign up for Amazon Prime and you get instand access to the new album and a lot more. If you have an iPhone then Apple Music is a good deal. I ordered the album from Amazon.....prob in my mailbox but already cranking it on my HomePod. Sad I had to turn off Fuh You when my daughter and her friend were in the room. Stupid chorus for a pop album.

The song should have been called For You and then he could just sing it like he did and it wouldn’t have been such a BFD.
Eric, Susy does not have any of that tech you’ve been talking about. I don’t think she has an iPhone either.

My God did anyone else hear the clear Steely Dan nods on this album?? Def a Give Peace a Change nod -- both were unmistakable. Anyone?

Look you know I aint no prude But I had a 10 year old in the room and her friend. Told them about this great new PM album and it was not a good thing when that song came on. I read the "For You" and I'm not a buyer of that smokescreen :D. A 20-teens version of the chorus of "Girl" ? LOL. ...... anyway if she's on-line buy Amazon Prime as it's a great deal and listen on your computer. Great to see you Nancy!! Sad I did not see you at the mother of all concerts: Desert Trip!!

You gotta watch the NYC gig on Paul’s you tube channel. He explains the lyric. It is “I just want it for you” but when he sang it the producer heard fuh you and they had a laugh at the double entendre and he convinced Paul to call it Fuh You which I think was a mistake.
Btw, keep checking Paul’s website or here. He keeps announcing tour dates. I got tickets for Greenville, SC.

What a great, exciting Egypt Station launch day!!!
I have to give Paul and his team credit for some very innovative marketing and being willing to push the envelope here (on both the album and promo).
Really like the album - especially Come On To Me, Back in Brazil, and Despite Repeated Warnings. Those were straight away personal favs from the first listen. Dominos has been a big grower for me and I’m already in love with it even though I only thought it was okay the first time around. Surprisingly, I Don’t Know and Fuh You have also grown on me tremendously - I wasn’t impressed with either when they each came out a singles and found them inferior to COTM, but, strangely, I love them nownthat I’ve heard them in context of the full album... anyone else have that experience??
I definitely feel like Paul achieved his objective in creativiting an atomospheric conceptual soundscape that “takes you somewhere” - to another plane or “station” of being, so to speak - in a way that I don’t think any of his other albums quite have (partly because it was intentional here and structured in that way)...
And the Grand Central Station concert was such an appropriate way to cap off the launch. Couldn’t have gone better in my judgment...
I feel confident ES will crack the top 10 in US album charts, maybe even top 5 (its currently #3 on iTunes)!

Mr. Spock! Haven’t seen you on here in forever!
Live long and prosper.

Well Erik I can say that my new favorite Paul McCartney song is Who Cares. My answer is yes to all of Paul's questions in the song because I have experienced everything he said in the song. Paul said tonight in the concert that Who Cares was dedicated to those who have been bullied. I am one of those people who have been bullied. So Paul singing this song made me feel better about myself.

KO has posted here recently but she doesn't come around much. There was a Kittay too & she went to Vegas I think, & has not returned to tell us of her travels.
