Barclays Center too!
That makes 4 New York area venues!!! Has he ever done so many concerts in a single area within what I'm assuming will be a one week span? -Rubber Soul13
On the 89/90 tour, he did 4 shows at MSG, 5 shows in LA, 6 shows in Birmingham UK, and 11 shows in London. Recently? I would have to look that up.

A residency of sorts of the NYC area meaning anyone can see him perform

Nassau MSG definitely Paul Newark very likely Barclays likely
with the map that Newark, posted, it's either Paul or some other British artist that hasn't been announced- Roger Waters already has 5 shows lined up
-
Funny that Barclays just released a teaser... I was just thinking of them and how they'd be the icing on the cake. Pretty sweet treat for NYC metro area.
-
Anyone think that Paul is annoucing so many at once and playing so many close together (NYC gigs) because these will be some sort of special shows with a special set list or something?

Probably not.

Honestly, I would expect the same standard setlist for NYC as he'll do in Des Moines. Maybe he'd add V&M/Rockshow for MSG, just for 'long hair at the Madison Square'... but I doubt it.

It's certainly going to be an exciting morning and I have to leave home at 1030 and will be out for hours! Nancy R has strict instructions to text me the minute she hears anything so I'm good! Actually, I'm becoming a wreck just thinking about ticket buying! I'll never get to sleep tonight!
-
Wow. This is incredible. I like the idea of "spreading the wealth" and doing four NYC area shows at different venues, instead of four nights at one joint. There shouldn't be a shadow of a doubt that these are all Paul. It's fantastic that these are being released all at once...it's about damn time. But seriously...if he's announcing an MSG gig tomorrow morning...what other artist would dare attempt to make their own hype at the Barclays Center at the same time on the same day? They're all him. I'll be very curious to see where the other NYC dates fall...I've never been to Barclays or the Coliseum...and while I love the Garden, September 15th also happens to be my mother's fiftieth birthday so that could be a conflict of interest...too bad she wouldn't want to spend it with Sir Paul! (She'd rather spend it with say...Cher...*shudder*) I'm also very much interested in Orlando. My aunt that I took to see Paul last summer on Night Two in DC moved to The Villages in Florida a mere two weeks after that concert and this would be a great excuse to go visit...and maybe hit a theme park or two! I suspect there will be a few stragglers tomorrow that didn't give their teaser the day before...for all you that keep saying Baltimore...I will eat my hat. And you heard it here first: our arena sucks. Don't come here.....go to one of the forty-seven NYC gigs.

I'm 20 miles down the road! Nancy R, are we finally going to get to see Paul together? Sooooo excited!!! I think #13 is comin' up!
Yes!!!
-
You're still up Nancy R! My mind is reeling thinking of all the possibilities! Of course, I'll be in Duluth since it's 20 miles down the road but I'd love to go up and do the NY shows. Miss my old stomping ground; but then if he does Miami while I'm down there...decisions, decisions...hotels to book...tickets to buy....oh, my! What fun is about to be unleashed in Maccaland!

I don't think that will be altogether true, Des Moines is rumored to be in July prior to new album release. They have over a moth off and then the September shows where I think you will find at least one song from the new album thrown in there if not more

If the announcement does drop all the shows at once which I tend to doubt but certainly possible. Those who are experienced Macca travelers.....do your thing!! For those who are not, if all of the shows are announced, you may want to quickly book your rooms as hotel rooms will start disappearing and the nightly rates can jump to much higher per night charges. Try not to dilly dally! Also airfare is usually cheaper ahead of time as well I booked my rooms last week in expectation and the one hotel that is right next to one of the venues is now sold out prior to announcements. So best of luck to all and I hope as many folks as possible can catch at least one show!!
-
Tiggywinkle, I can't sleep tonight either. Never in a million years did I think Paul would appear so close to where I live now.

Looks to be a Midwest and New York/Northeast tour. Only a couple in the South (Atlanta and Bossier City). Wish he would play Memphis again. Looks like the West and the South are being overlooked on this tour.

I have heard something very interesting, Paul McCartney in Italy 23 Sep. Lucca Festival !!!!!!!!!

I see no indication of a Am-ex presale any where for Detroit - unless something is on Facebook that I cannot see since I'm no longer apart of it. Curious if there will be a PM.com presale for this.
