Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors
-
In fairness us Aussies are happy to fork out more to see ACDC I reckon that if tickets start from $100 -$150AUD that would be more than reasonable to see a legend like Macca knowing it would be the last time he tours Australia
-
He's coming. It's done.
-
No doubt our sycophantic hypocritical media will be all over it.... Hello, The Project.... Just hoping it's not at Shitihad Stadium. Or whatever it was called back in the day. But.... It will be HUGE! An entire generation of Kardashian followers will FINALLY work out who these "Beatles" were.

I forked out $400 to see Roger Waters The Wall, 5th row centre. saw him twice the first show was $200 Gold ticket. I would gladly pay $400 to see Paul if I was close to the front/centre
-
^^ Best of luck to you all! I hope you get to see him.
-
Australia...if rumors are true, you're long wait to see Macca may be over. Wouldn't surprise me if he started his '17 Tour there (as he did in '93)...and you'd probably be the first to hear cuts from the new CD!

I have the credit card on standby for this. Not fussed on costs really. Will try for a second show with decent seats at both depending on where and when it is. I would hope this time around that the media might report on the tour correctly - ie instead of some big outrageous headline like "OMG - 500 DOLLARS TO SEE PAUL MC", they might mention that there are a range of price options and that is top dollar etc. Good luck with the media doing anything right though I guess ha!

it would be amazing to see him live I'm not familiar with Paul's solo work. I only have the 'All The Best' cd. can you tell me what solo albums are your favourite? your top 3? the shop where I buy my music has an album called 'NEW', I love the cover. is that a good one? thanks in advance

Wow! You really are a "bit late to the party" as they say, but better late than never! I really like NEW. It is one of Paul's solo albums that I can listen to straight through without wanting to skip anything. Another album that's great is Flaming Pie. And for a live album you can't beat Wings Over America. He was at his absolute prime vocally then. So much great solo stuff, though. It's like asking us to pick our favorite child!

I know i'm late to the party ops: I've been listening to BOWIE, SATCH, MetallicA, U2 and other stuff these last couple of decades. I'll be picking up Metallica's new album in 3 weeks and the Blu-Ray of Ron Howards new Beatles film. I"m hoping I can spare some cash to purchase NEW... I think I can get the deluxe version, is it worth it? there is also a 2016 4CD of Paul's solo work... 67 songs. it's costs a bit but I'm sure it will be worth the money. thank you for your input/suggestions I really appreciate it.

My crash course for solo Paul was Wingspan - double album of hits. Pure McCartney is pretty much the same with additional songs he's released in the last 15 years. Spotify has all the albums, why not have a listen on there before buying (assuming Spotify is available in your country) My top 5...(for today anyway) would be: Band on the Run, Ram, Flaming Pie, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, and Memory Almost Full (although New is very good, and I have a soft spot for Driving Rain...Your Way is a classic)

What about looking on eBay for old solo Paul CDs?
-
Glad to see that he's probably on his way back to Australia after all this time. I will say, as a New Yorker, that if he does come back to America at all in 2017, it's time for him to do a proper gig at MSG. He hasn't played a full show there since 2005...

I can always look at amazon it's just how much money I can spend... I'll probably want to buy 4 or 5 Macca solo albums and it will add up. not that Paul isn't worth the money, I'm just on a budget.

Hello from Brisbane! I find it's wroth checking Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.ca for the same items as prices can vary massively around the world (but are mostly all cheaper than buying here in Australia).

Hello from Perth *waves*, the good thing about JB's is that if there is something wrong with the disc, I can just go into a store and they will help me out.
