That’s a coincidence since Paul had been with Quincy’s future wife, Peggy Lipton, a couple times in 1964 and 1965! Of course many years later Paul and Linda got together with Quincy and Peggy on a boat. Peggy talks about how awkward it was in her book.

Didn't Quincy Jones also recently label The Beatles the worse musicians ever?.... Surely, it was tongue in cheek?... Peggy Lipton, hot in Twin Peaks. Daughter is beautiful.

Yes.  Paul got even, told Q to get off the tree...something like that.

Any how, John Lennon gave his Oscar to a college and that college supposedly sold it.

Paul said Quincy was “totally out of his tree.” 😂

I'm loving watching this again. I'm not big on downloading bootlegs cos I'm always worried my computer will get a virus! Plus, I like the artists getting the royalties... I think that is fair (I know, I am a square!).... That being said, I am loving watching Let It Be again for the first time since I was an adolescent  watching it on TV. This is fantastic. No doubt it won't be long before You Tube drags it down. And hopefully, we are not far off the entire footage being packaged into a 50-year special anniversary release. It will be huge! I can hardly wait.

All of my DVDs of this were from snail mail trades awhile ago... so no chance of a virus!

I have a vague memory of this thing called 'mail'....unfortunately, not so vague!

43rd Annual Academy Awards!  My error!

Glen Campbell and Joan Blondel presented.

THE BEATLES Oscar was accepted by Quincy Jones

Are you sure it wasn't John Wayne?  As I recall, he mangled one of their names when announcing them the winners.

Thank you.  It seems odd that John Wayne was at the Grammy show!  And I didn't hear him mangle a name.   laugh Must have been a memory laps on my part!!!

RINGO WON in that same category, but Duke Wayne forgot to mention his name or his name was not listed

Ringo did not write any of the music in Let It Be, that was why hie was not named.
