Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
Nothing - then 2 shows in Denmark. And then nothing. That's strange, isn't it? Even more so when you consider how long ago they were announced.

There has GOT to be more European dates coming in very late June and through July...who the heck goes to Denmark for two shows and then calls it quits for the summer!?

I agree with this. His band will go to London around June 25, rehearse for about four days, then do two shows in Denmark and that's it?? Then come back July 22???

Don't forget he has only been announcing about six weeks in advance, so anything could happen in July still, just because we aren't hearing anything or seeing any clues. Wasn't Denmark a big surprise with little notice?

Denmark wasn't even a rumour it was....OH HEY GUYS, I'M PLAYING IN DENMARK.

It really would be strange to have these two Denmark dates dangling out there in the middle of the summer calendar. Has McCartney ever done this? Weren't there rumors of a concert in Spain? Maybe this will happen, something in Barcelona in early July. It would make sense.

I didn't hear anything about Spain...or anything for that matter. The Magic Eight Ball just keeps saying...try again later....unless you live in denmark. :

There were two European dates circulating amidst the South American rumours - all of which were eventually realised: 18.05 - BARCELONA (Spain) 25.05 - LISBOA (Portugal) However as you see, those dates passed without anything emerging. Those rumours originated from the same South American sources, but the strong links between that continent and Spain and Portugal gave them some credibility for a while. After all the Rock In Rio series visited Madrid and Lisbon several times with the same Braziian promoter. The fact that Rock In Rio did return to Lisbon this year - on the 25.05 indeed - suggests that Paul might have been considered to perform that festival. Whether Paul was approached, or even considered the festival is a moot point now as it didn't happen. Martin

I would imagine that if he doesn't announce any American dates within the next 48 hours to take advantage of the publicity from his being on the delayed broadcast of the Jubilee Concert tonight on ABC, then he won't appear here this summer.
Thinking the same.
Yeah I was going to say unless he announces something soon you guys prob wont be seeing him over your side of the pond this summer.
Tick...Tick... Surprised no word yet of anything anywhere.

Nope, not quite. For the past three years, McCartney's US announcements have come within the first two weeks of June...there is still a litttle hope for deliverance.
-
Fuck man, I'm gonna rule out out USA for the summer. It's almost been a year since he announced the start of his on the run US tour. It's been exactly 364 days. This year he gots Denmark and the Olympics and maybe more UK dates. Hopefully he does your the UK more this summer so come wintertime he comes to the states for a couple dates. One can only wish!!!
-
This is starting to look like a silent summer in terms of live music from Macca in America, the first one since summer of 2008 that he hasn't played for us. Oh well, I can save some money and he can do whatever he is doing. Hey, if I was him I would relax up in Scotland.

Don't give up yet guys!!!

Of course, it's not my role to tell him what to do but it's hard not to notice that thread on here entitled something like Paul, Please Come to Australia. I looked on there last week and they were talking about how that discussion is now nearly TEN YEARS OLD and he still hasn't shown up Down Under. Heck, we have seen him here often enough compared to them. Time for the him to go play for the good people down there!
