Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours

SusyLuvsPaul:
.all's forgiven, he was a jailbird in Japan but that was in the past, just water under the bridge and all that...obviously he's not holding grudges
Hopefully he's not holding anything else when he visits Japan this time...

I wonder if he has an impish sense of humor and would dare to pack an actual "pot" in his suitcase:

crap...he doesn't even *know* what's in his suitcase now. Just like for the shows...probably 24 black suits, 42 white shirts(all the same), 12 red jackets(all the same), 12 blue jackets(all the same), same pair of shorts from 1990, etc...

That seems awfully soon...and pretty outta the blue. Although, maybe he's doing an every other part of the world tour this spring, leading up to the UK in the summer, and then (hopefully) the US after that?

Does anyone have an actual compiled list of rumors so far?

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/harman-teams-with-sir-paul-mccartney-on-jbl-hear-the-truth-campaign-2012-02-09 OK, this story is about Paul's getting involved in the Hear the Artist campaign about acoustic quality, sponsored by Harman speakers and JBL. But the most important sentence in the story for the purposes of this thread is:
Additionally, JBL will be a sponsor of McCartney's upcoming summer tour.
So there's definitely going to be a summer tour. The question is: Where?

If i was to have a guess then there might be some US/S.American gigs in the spring and possibly a couple of UK dates after the Jubilee perhaps something in the liddypool for his 70th.

See I figured he would avoid the US and UK because there is a BOATLOAD of big-name artists touring in the US and UK this summer (Springsteen, Coldplay, Beach Boys, Van Halen, etc. etc). Too much competition. I figured he'd go for a couple one-offs in the UK (the queen's thing and the Olympics, both of which are just a couple songs) and then do a tour of Australia and/or Japan. Why not go places you haven't been in a long time?

I never thought about it like that. Madonna is lined up to play the UK aswell this summer. I would still hope, obviously, for a couple of UK gigs with a couple of Ram tracks to promote the remaster!! But yeh, it would be good if he managed a couple of dates in Japan and then down under.

Looks like there's a summer tour brewing somewhere... Event Travel put on Facebook "watch out for Paul McCartney news" and... ...This article mentions JBL will be a sponsor for "McCartney's upcoming Summer Tour" http://www.twice.com/article/480309-McCartney_To_Star_In_JBL_Grammy_Ad_Campaign.php

Yeah' i agree, Michelley. Our beloved Paul should come to countries/places Where he haven't been performing for a long time...such a shame, When id discovered that, on the newest (On the run) tour, he Went to many countries All over Europe, even Scandinavia, though he never came to our dear kingdom: Denmark, where i live, he actually did in germany, sweden, Finland...but not Denmark! But why? Us Danish people Will not be cheated once again for the next tour, it isn't fair, that if he Can travel to sweden + germany (Which is not very far from Denmark) why is it then not possible to make one concert here in Denmark As Well. We really appreciate it....cuz' the last performance here in Copenhagen (I Think it was Parken, our national stadium) was, As far as i Can remember, back in 2005....which is almost 7 years ago, though it do sometimes feels Like eternity....that's why! Dear Macca, we miss u, and we love u too, hope you'll find THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD here to little Denmark, hopefully in 2012....!!!!
-
He performs in the UK pretty much every year yet he's played Scotland twice in the space of 20 years and has had a house here for nearly 50 years!!

Cmackbird: lucky you........unlucky me!
