Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours

5th-beatle:
Have any of these rumours been confirmed yet? I have read the Mexican concert is not 100% sure yet.
Besides the single promotional concert featuring Kisses On The Bottom on the 9th February at Capitol Records, Paul has not announced any dates for 2012 yet. So all rumours are just that. The date at Chichen Itza, Mexico has been announced by the local Governor as likely for the past three years in a row. Venue Owners and Promoters have to understand that being in talks with Paul and his production team does not a concert make, many options and venues are explored intitially for the simple practicality of the venue to accommodate Paul and his touring stage and equipment, but even if that process is given the green light, there are negotiations on local government licences, agreements with traffic and police authorities and on the final contract between the venue and Paul as to how takings will be divided to conclude. Over the last few years we've had premature announcements from local venue promoters that have cause great excitements that have come to nothing in the end. Only when official announcements are posted here, usually in tandem with formal local press releases, can fans be assured a date is confirmed. Martin

Yes. As of right now, the only confirmed date is Maccastock, Paul's three-day concert which will be taking place in my friend's back yard in Vermont.

I think we've got Paul set for a late-night DJ set, as well. He seems really into it:

Hope this is true. He headlines the 50th jubilee celebrations so it'd be really cool for him to headline the 60th celebratons

Plus if he is playing at the Diamond Jubilee and probably the Olympics then hopefully, hopefully that will include a few UK summer gigs !

I think the Diamond Jubilee and Olympics are pretty much a cert. But fingers crossed for a few UK shows!

As long as we get some on this side of the pond....that works for me! So we've got... Spring 2012- Mayan Stuff in South American Summer 2012- Olympics, Queen's Jubilee...more UK shows to follow? He can squeeze North America between the two

Australia just aired an interview with Paul where he said "he's working on touring Australia again..." Japan - Australia... makes sense. Fingers crossed for us all.

Way to go Australia. Imagine he will be doing Mull of Kintyre down there for all the Scots. Wish I could go.

Those will be exciting to view and hear from afar, Japan and Australia ...all's forgiven, he was a jailbird in Japan but that was in the past, just water under the bridge and all that...obviously he's not holding grudges Not our sunny, cheerful, ebulliant brightest star in the sky He might not put on a Mayan show, just wishful thinkin' on the officials' part. Is that right? Would be an exotic locale, would be cool in that respect. But not enough people would or could go. He's used to a gazillion peeps in his audience
