http://www.marketwatch.com/story/harman-teams-with-sir-paul-mccartney-on-jbl-hear-the-truth-campaign-2012-02-09 OK, this story is about Paul's getting involved in the Hear the Artist campaign about acoustic quality, sponsored by Harman speakers and JBL. But the most important sentence in the story for the purposes of this thread is:
Additionally, JBL will be a sponsor of McCartney's upcoming summer tour.
So there's definitely going to be a summer tour. The question is: Where?
If i was to have a guess then there might be some US/S.American gigs in the spring and possibly a couple of UK dates after the Jubilee perhaps something in the liddypool for his 70th.
It sounds cheesy, but I think he is going to be at Radio City Music Hall for his Birthday. RIngo evening has that date open in his tour schedule, and he'll be in New York at the time. That's my wishful thinking!!! Not that it means anything this time, but for RIngo's B-Day, we went up there just because I though Paul would be there! Everyone said noooo your crazy! And LOOK!

Report in yesterday's Melbourne Herald-Sun, about prospective acts touring this year...another mention of a McCartney tour in the works. Something is definitely bubbling under the surface...
-
Event Travel on FB says to stay tuned for an announcement involving Paul's tour dates. Looks like you better get your money together now.

Will do! I'm staring to freak myself out and stress already!
-
I know. Like he's in LA...maybe he can get around here in a couple months... joking.
-
I think it will be Australia and possibly Japan. Something different.

If this was a fb status, I think this would have a million likes

Agreed. I know no one in the US or UK wants to hear this but it's overkill for him to tour either place again. The more years in a row he tours in both places, the less special it is. He needs to take a break and leave 'em wanting more again. Besides, I think Australia and Japan fans have been patient enough.

Having looked at the page, it seems to me that the tour will probably be in Europe. The ticket prices for other artists that they've listed are in euros....
-
He's finally returning to my country Will be awesome to drive to a gig again instead of flying and depending on weather conditions!
-
At least these new annoucements are giving fans 6 weeks to plan. Hopefully, this trend continues.
-
Is anyone else tempted to travel to Belgium or Holland to see him? Damn. I would if I found someone to go with and got good seats.
-
Event Travel says these are just the first dates, expect more. And yes I'm temping to travel to Belgium, I have to see the prices first through.
-
I'm tempted to go for Holland or Belgium but I looked into it and it just seems to awkward. So much travelling involved so might just give it a miss.
-
The travel is too expensive to go in Neederland; but if I can get a ticket, I will go to Belgium
-
I can afford it. Go on the Eurostar maybe. It kind of sucks not knowing any hardcore Paul fans. If I did I'd probably have a go at getting some Belgium tickets. I doubt he'll announce more UK shows. Someone prove me wrong.
