Yes, he ended the drought for Chicago fans but there are many more of us out this way. I would like to do soundcheck as well but would probably just listen outside if it's open air. I noticed from a recent gig that soundcheck was being offered as a standalone option. I have long wanted that so that I could attend and then sit wherever I want for the concert.
Really? Soundcheck offered as a stand alone product?
Yeah, saw that for one of the SA gigs. It was still overpriced, though, at $1,000.
Hmm . . .I guess I didn't see that. . .call me nuts (many have!) but I really want the whole experience . . .CLOSE seat and soundcheck
But this way (although I bet he'd NEVER offer that option in the states) you could go to one night's soundcheck & show & the 2nd night (if he's in your town 2 nites) you can just do the soundcheck. I would have done that in Chicago.
I'd have to travel too far for back-to-back shows unfortunately . . .he's only played near my home twice . . .1990 and 2005 . . .but that's life in a non-metro area of the USA!

Chicago last year I only did one nite of soundcheck & show. I hated it outside. Well I didn't hate the show. I hated the idea of it being outside when it was almost 100 degrees & 95% humidity. I don't like hot. I'd much prefer an indoor show!

Looks like it is just Montevideo and it still requires a ticket purchase.
Please note that you will be contacted via email approximately one week prior to show date with instructions and details for your selected package. CONCERT TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THIS VIP PACKAGE UPGRADE AND MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. FAILURE TO PRODUCE A VALID CONCERT TICKET ON NIGHT OF SHOW WILL PROHIBIT ENTRY. Concert ticket is required for entry to the show and access to package elements.

I'm with ya there...I've seen 1 huge outdoor gig (1990 and it was hot/humid then too) and I much prefer indoors. Too many weather issues in the midwest. The VIP s/c pkgs cost too much to have weather intefere with the glory that is Macca live!!

I saw a little child faint while waiting outside to go into the arena, in his Charlotte N.C. summer concert in 2010. O if only I could see him in concert again, t'was the happiest I've been in many moons...I was walking on air, over the moon!! Just the euphoria of anticipation, and then the ULTIMATE "the thing itself," and then days and days of afterglow...what bliss oh Paul darling, how's about playin' the down and dirty South U.S.A. again (hint, hint) : kiss kiss Pucker up buttercup Need another heapin' helpin' of your sweet stuff -- even if you don't luv me no mo

I lurve you loads Susy but i've got to question you on the little child fainting, why would this incident make you happy? I could maybe see the point of a big cheeser if this child was the second coming. To do nothing and hope to see this child again is a bit much taking into consideration what happened during the first coming.
