Wow! When/where did Paul do George's Wah Wah?
at The Concert for George. He's on piano.
Oh yeah, I forgot that! So you were actually at that concert? Cool!
Not me, unfortunately. Wish I could have gone, but wasn't possible. Very good friend was there and said it was incredible.
I was thinking it was the OP that answered me! ops: I have that concert on DVD--it is incredible!

It may be urban-legend, but The Concert For George is, supposedly, the occasion when Clapton kept McCartney's ego in check and would not allow that event to become all about Macca and another one of his show-stopping closing spots.

Is there a site i can get early stats from, i'd always wanted to make a list of all the songs i've seen him do!....
You can see some stats for older setlists here: http://www.setlist.fm/stats/paul-mccartney-13d6bd15.html
Many thanks for sending this along. I have 127 different songs from 17 concerts ranging from 1989 to this year. The songs with the lowest overall play count that I have seen/heard live are One After 909 and I'm Down, both at 10 each.

Interesting thread. Kind of tough to know what to do about Paul's live medleys. Does golden slumbers/carry that weight/the end count as one or three? Does pepper/the end count as one or two? If you saw '89 & '02, should pepper/the end not be counted at all since you'd seen him perform those songs earlier? Or is it a "new" medley? Hmmm... Anyway, my total, counting songs as separate entries (except ps love me do, which HAD to count as one) is 124. Here's what I've seen and when I first heard em: Note: setlist.com is NOT always accurate! 1. Figure of Eight (1989) 2. Jet (1989) 3. Rough Ride (1989) 4. Got to Get You into My Life (1989) 5. cant remember how many-I've been seeing Paul in concert since the Concert for NYC and have been averaging about six shows a year since 2001. I would say the last run of the "OUT THERE" tour contained my favorite setlist.

Simple question, how many different songs have you seen live at Pauls concerts? And what were they? Obviously if you've been to multiple shows there are songs that you'll have seen multiple times but I was wondering how many different songs you've seen overall. So far I've been to 4 Macca gigs: 05/04/03 - Sheffield Hallam FM Arena (Back in the World tour) 29/05/03 - Sheffield Hallam FM Arena (Back in the World tour) 01/06/08 - Liverpool Anfield Stadium (Liverpool Sound concert) 20/06/10 - Glasgow Hampden Park (Up and Coming tour) And I've seen 59 different songs live: A Day In The Life / Give Peace a Chance All My Loving And I Love Her Back in the USSR Band on the Run Birthday Blackbird C Moon Calico Skies Can't Buy Me Love Dance Tonight Day Tripper Drive My Car Eleanor Rigby Every Night Flaming Pie Get Back Getting Better Got To Get You Into My Life Hello Goodbye Helter Skelter Here Today Here, There and Everywhere Hey Jude Highway Hippy Hippy Shake I Saw Her Standing There I'll Follow the Sun In Liverpool I've Got a Feeling I've Just Seen a Face Jet Lady Madonna Let Em In Let It Be Let Me Roll It / Foxy Lady Letting Go Live and Let Die Lonely Road Maybe I'm Amazed Michelle Mrs Vandebilt Mull of Kintyre My Love Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five Ob La Di, Ob La Da Paperback Writer Penny Lane Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band / The End Sing the Changes Something The Fool on the Hill The Long and Winding Road Two of Us Venus and Mars / Rock Show We Can Work It Out Yesterday You Never Give Me Your Money / Carry That Weight Your Loving Flame
Have no idea but I have seen him 7 times from 1976-2010 so it is probably a bunch.

I have seen and heard Paul do 90 DIFFERENT songs live.
-
According to my spreadsheet (yes, I'm a geek) I have seen Paul do 121 songs live. I look forward to adding a couple more in July.

I was at 124 before this year's Seattle show. Sadly, I only added five to my total, now 129. I've been lucky to catch a few of the rare ones listed up above (bolded). I think Ram On and the 1990 Lennon medley are relatively uncommon, so I might include those, too.

Impressive! Are we including soundcheck songs in these lists?

It may be urban-legend, but The Concert For George is, supposedly, the occasion when Clapton kept McCartney's ego in check and would not allow that event to become all about Macca and another one of his show-stopping closing spots.
Well I thought Mr. McCartney appeared very humble that night and his vocal on "All Things Must Pass" was wonderful IMO.

Because Clapton kept him in check. LOL! But I agree: Macca sang his ass off that night.

At most other public events they ASK Paul to end the show. What better way than to have everyone singing na na na na na na?

No, I have never attended one of the soundchecks. I am including the short songs If I Were Not Upon The Stage and Baby Face and counting Give Peace A Chance as a separate song from A Day In The Life, Venus And Mars and Rock Show as 2 songs and the Abbey Road medley as 3 songs. Some of the other rare songs I've seen include San Francisco Bay Blues, Nod Your Head, House Of Wax,That Was Me Honey Hush and some of the Wings Over America songs like Soily, Picasso's Last Words, Richard Corey, Spirits Of Ancient Egypt, etc.
