They made the Abbey Road cover with people's pics of Abbey Road crossings!
That is so cool!
Am listening to CD 3 Sessions right now. John: “I’m losing my cool right now.” (more like your voice, John!)

Help me!! I can't stop listening to the 2CD Abbey Road. All four chaps sound remarkable. I'm even starting to dig Octopus's Garden!! After listening to the rough takes, I'm convinced you could hear the future of the lads; I hear RAM, All Things Must Pass, Imagine, and RINGO. The Beatles were ready to conquer the 1970's; they just did it separately.

While I don't necessarily disagree, Abbey Road and the songs on it were clearly meant to be Beatles songs....by each member. John wanted a beautiful three-part harmony with "Because." He would never again write or record that kind of gorgeous song. He knew it was only for the Beatles. George's "Something" was clearly meant as a Beatles song as well. They wanted to go our strong, not save songs for solo careers. While they may not have admitted it at the tme...even to themselves...., I think they all knew this album would be their last as a group. The cover has them walking away from Abbey Road studio in a bit of foreshadowing..... I love that on "The End," all four took a solo part. Ringo on his drum s, then Paul, George and John each taking solo parts on the dueling guitars. Magnificant. They went out on top!!!

The “walking away from Abbey Road studio” was just a fluke - it just so happened that clearly the best photo of them was walking in that direction!
I agree, though, they definitely went out on top!

Yeah, I guess it was a fluke, but plays out in the scenario of the grand finale.

Yeah, I guess it was a fluke, but plays out in the scenario of the grand finale. Who could have imagined that simply deciding to cross the street while being photographed doing so would become so HUGE. That street can never change.

I would love to get an Abbey Road backdrop Mural and then the 4 lifesized BeaTle cardboard stand up cutouts, like the cool ones they had in the Apple store windows that time. That would be so cool looking in a large room!

And it deserves to be! It sounds new and fresh as if it could have been recorded this year. It, perhaps, has the distinction of being the best album of 1969 and quite possibly 2019! Only they could pull that off....with George Martin at the helm then and his son now. Hearing it sounding so great is such a treat, especially side 2 and especially Paul and Ringo...on everything..."Polythene Pam going right into "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" knowing it's not an edit, but them playing together in the studio is very special. They were still a great live band. George's guitar playing is superb throughout...as is John's. It all just jells so perfectly. I never want to hear ever again how lucky Ringo was....he was the driving force of the band and played to each song perfectly.

My favourite album.
Cos it is brilliant.

Ringo interview article from BBC 6 Music. He talks about Abbey Road medley and, as we've heard before, he did not think it would be their "last" album. If his interview was broadcast, there does not seem to be a link to listen to it, yet.

Not sure if this was already posted, but is Abbey Road-related.
