Saw all these second nights and was hoping for another night in DC! Guess I'm not quite THAT lucky

I think it's my duty as a parent to have my kids experience seeing a Beatle live in concert, no?
Absolutely In the past two tours here I was able to get field seats much closer than this year because I went by myself. This time I'm bringing my awesome 13 year old with me, and I couldn't be happier, even if we're in the middle of Field 13.

This just in from 100.7... The show is SOLD OUT

My tickets already arrived with today's mail! Usually takes weeks to get concert ticket so I was surprised when I opened the envelope.

Some one correct me if I'm wrong...We were at a Brewers-Nats game several years ago and if I remember as you approach the stadium going into the Left field or center tfield entrance coming from the Metro there is a great open view into the stadium before passing through the gates. I'm thinking this would be a prime spot to catch the sound check??? If this is the case I hope security doesn't keep people back farther from the gates! I could be wrong...maybe the great open view was after passing through the gates. Anybody out there that is more familiar with the park layout please clarify! And this will be a secret just amongst us boardies. Thanks!

You're correct, but I'd imagine they take precuations to visually block fans from catching a free soundcheck...but maybe not. We'll probably do limo watch so we'll be scoping out the area for any potential soundcheck spots too.

I can't believe that it is 3 months (today) till the concert!! I am so excited!!
-
I have a feeling this is going to be a long three months of waiting! Getting my hands on my tickets today made it all so real though.
-
I hope I get mine soon!

Wix, thanks for clarifying. I can't imagine you would see anything from that spot except the backside of the stage but the sound would possibly be good.

Crossing fingers for you! I don't think I've ever gotten tickets so fast before. I got them during the presale on Tuesday morning.

We'll be doing limo watch too!!! Any idea where that would be at the park? At Consol in Pttsburgh a few years ago, we were by the entrance where all the "important people" we're being taken in.. Then Paul and his gang went in another way. We were devastated after standing out in the hot sun for about 4 hours!! (Paul was late in arriving)

Interesting! I guess it wasn't, or those tickets hadn't been released when they made the announcement? Still...it's down to the wire people!

I don't have a clue! I didn't do anything like this for EJ/BJ. I did limo watch in Philly for Paul...stood in the rain for about 2 hours, it was a blast to be a few feet from him and have him to us (and everyone else!) for about 20 seconds!

I just signed up to PM.com. I was able to get a ticket for DC. It's a three hour train ride and I booked the hotel. I took a silver package, so I will in field 9 first row. So, I'm really excited.
-
I got tix for me and my 5-year-old son, Jude, through the Nationals pre-sale. So excited! He will most likely hear his song! So happy to give him this experience. He will love it. You can look at the view from your seats here: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/fan_forum/seats_3d.jsp

Can anybody tell me what hotels are close to the venue or the metro station? I noticed that all the Choice hotels were booked, and I have points to get a free night. Shoot! Have to mention that back in 2002 we waited for Paul with a group of fans who had been waiting for several hours. 15 minutes after we got there, in pulls Paul! Rolled down the limo window right across from us and waved, about 6-8 feet away. Thought I would die! Our group of 5 went all fangirly and 1964 after the limo passed...screamed, jumped up and down, cried some tears of absolute unbelief and pure joy! First time I'd seen Paul in concert (ticket was a bday gift from my folks) and then the icing on the cake is that we all needed to use the bathroom, they let us in and coming out of the ladies room we saw a small line and asked what was up and they said stand right here and you'll get to hear some of the soundcheck. Eeeeeeeeeeeee! We got to hear about 4 songs and were in heaven. A night I'll NEVER forget!

Lots of hotels in downtown DC, White House/Capitol area. Problem is they are all expensive. An alternate less pricey option is across the river in Arlington/Rosslyn. Many hotels are near Metro stops and it's just a really short hop (5-10 minutes) to the Mall/White House/Capitol and Nats Stadium by Metro.
