At my Miami show in 2010 I was on the aisle, 10th row right off the center section and when Paul came out there were a lot of people who moved forward. I got to the 4th row and was not pushed or shoved. Security allowed it for about 10 minutes and then asked everyone to go back to their assigned seats which most of us did immediately. Unfortunately there were some people who argued and were very disruptive and security had to keep getting after them as they'd try to sneak forward again. Paul does seem to like the rush at the beginning of the show and since security allows it, I would think that they would have gotten the word from Paul's people to allow it, just monitor for safety for about 10 minutes. That being said, as long as people are respectful and resume their seats, I have no problem with them having the thrill of getting 'up close' to Paul for the thrill of a lifetime, even if just for a few minutes. This show I'll be in row 11 on the floor but not on as aisle so I plan to stay put and just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

2 more months until the concert! Going to be a very long two months! D

Wooo! Thank goodness these weeks don't have eight day!

Hi everybody. Been off the board lately, out of town, and didn't get in on any of the ticket sales. When I saw the new set list, I knew I had to make at least one show. Since our son lives in D.C., looks like we will aim to go there with tickets off stubhub and combine that with a long overdue visit to him and his better half, treat them to the show Since he has never been to a Nationals Game, perhaps you can answer my question. I notice the Navy Yard Metro Station is very close by, are they pretty good at getting people out of there quick? My wife doesn't fare well in summer heat, even at night, and I hate for her to have to fight the crowds. In fact, not even sure if she will turn out for this one or not. Would try to make the arena in Orlando next week but just can't pull it off. Thanks and any advice appreciated!! Looking forward to July 12.

Can anyone tell me how the seating works? In the stands do the rows start at AA and then go to A? How about the rows on the floor? Any info would be so helpful. Thanks!
Didn't see an anwer to her question but I am wondering this myself as I study various online offerings. Assume AA is closest and end of alphabet more distant from stage???

The Metro is within walking distance of the stadium. Highly recommend using it. But, it will be crowded after the concert with everyone trying to get home all at the same time. The Metro runs until 300 AM on Friday nites so I'd suggest taking ones time and get to the Metro at a very slow pace to get home. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that is a definite help. After reading some of the horror stories about how far the metro is from FedEx field, I am glad the concert isn't being held there like a few years back.

It will be a nightmare after the show. I saw Elton John and Billy Joel there in 2009 and we used the metro from our hotel in Alexandria, VA to the park without a problem. Getting back to the hotel was a nightmare. There were lines just to get on the escalators. It's not as spread out and organized for events as the metro station at the Verizon Center is, if you consider that even remotely organized.

If I had my way, it would always be arena shows, a poor seat in an arena is always better than a poor stadium seat, less crowds, don't have to worry about rain, and the public transport isn't stretched to the breaking point. Appreciate the heads up, we will be prepared to be patient.

I posted this in the Available tickets area, but want to post the info here just in case people aren't reading that thread. I just purchased another seat for this show so I would now like to sell my extra ticket for what I paid for. If anyone is looking for a great single seat in Section Field 3A for this DC show, please send me a pm. I'm SO excited about this show! *This ticket has been sold to a forum member!

Looks like I might be headed to the DC show as well. I don't know why I enjoy living in debt, but I seem to let Paul put me in it whenever he tours. :

Congrats! I really splurged on this concert, but I thankfully had been saving for a while! He's coming to my city, but I decided to go elsewhere since I can't take music festivals!

There's no way I'd survive the 'roo. VERMONT in the summer is too hot for me! ops: This will make four Paul shows this summer for me, all of which are going to hurt my bank account. However, for those days leading up to the concert and the concert itself, it will be bliss!
