Got my tickets in the mail today! These were the better tickets that I ordered through the Nationals website/tickets.com on Monday June 3. Very quick delivery. Now if only crowdsurge could get their act together and mail out the presale tickets.

I was just going to ask, if anyone has gotten their crowdsurge presale tickets yet? or an email saying they have been dispatched?

Not yet. They did say 2-4 weeks before, but we're just in that window now.

Hey, everyone! I just finished my McCartney week at Bonnaroo. The Paul/James part was awesome, and the rest of it was pretty cool, too. I stood in line for the pit for Paul all day long and was about center stage, 10 people deep. I was so close that it was amazing. However, I'm feeling in a bit of a post-concert depression. I want to experience a Paul concert where it is ONLY Paul, not a festival, because the rest of the festival sort of colors the experience a little. I see there are still tickets available for DC, and I love DC and Paul. However, Bonnaroo was freaking expensive, and a flight to DC plus tickets plus hotel will be expensive too. I'm trying to decide what to do. I have a feeling Paul will do a concert in England in December because he usually does. I thought about seeing that and making it a trek, but I'm in school so there's no guarantee. Advise me, Paul-concert experts. Help me decide what I should do!

I think Paul will play in the UK later this year. I'm expecting the album out before the end of the year, followed by more European dates before the year is out. BUT that is just my speculation based on the past.

Same here... 6/17 - 6/18 difference between e-mail and website... maybe it's a time zone thing based on the actual hour they were sent out??? who knows... just glad they're on their way!!

No tickets on this end yet, though we've got the hotel booked and we're considering taking the train in from Philly. Really can't wait! We're taking the whole weekend there to see the sights, since this will be the first time we've been to DC as a family. It'll be my boy's first time in DC and his first Macca concert... first stadium rock concert, actually!!!!

My tickets arrived today via first class mail. A friend of mine got his yesterday in a priority mail envelope, so they're shipping any which way they can.

Madame Tussaud's in DC has just set up a Beatles exhibit that is running from June through August. From the madametoussauds.com: "The limited time exhibit features the famous four crossing the equally famous Abbey Road, as depicted on the cover of their 1969 Abbey Road album. Now you can join the band in this iconic music moment and snap a picture of your own. But, that's not all. There's more! Also on display with the exhibit is a selection of incredibly rare Beatles memorobilia, as provided by The Mansion on O. Items include a limited edition Yellow Submarine Jukebox, 1960s Beatles black and white trading cards, signed Beatles memorobillia and much more." I thought it would be fun for those interested to go see this before the concert. The DC location of Hard Rock Cafe' is also a couple of blocks away from MT's.

Nice catch maccagirl! If Paul ever comes to Baltimore, the boardies have to organize a meetup at our Hard Rock...there's a private Beatles library for parties! I've never been to the DC hard rock...may have to do something about that come July!
-
very nice idea, how far is MT/hard rock from the ball park?

Thanks! I've never been to MT despite living in the area for so long. Just never been interested 'til now, I guess I actually used to work at the merch store at Hard Rock back in 2006. I know the different locations rotate some of the memorabilia, but last I remember most of the Beatles stuff was on the upper level. Mostly signed photographs. I didn't know that about the Beatles library in Baltimore! I've never been to that location, hopefully I can go whenever the meetup happens. Sounds very cool!

Hard Rock is on 7th st NW 20004 (near both the Metro Center and Gallery Place-Chinatown metro stations) The Ballpark is on 1500 South Capitol st SE, 20003 (near Navy Yard metro station) It 's about a 3 mile distance between the two and would be either an 8 minute drive/taxi ride, or a 5-stop ride on the metro that should take about the same time. Both the Gallery Place-Chinatown and Navy Yard stations are on the green line, so no transferring would be needed. There may be a bus route or two but I will have to research that a little bit.
