If anyone has a good picture of Paul and Harold, I wouldLOVE to have it. I have a couple from the big screen, but the quality isn't great.

Ahhhh.... Back from DC and a little more well rested. OK. My concert experience had plenty of highs and lows. It was certainly a high just to be there! I love the excitement leading up to a show. My friend and I drove 3 and a half hours to catch a train to bring us to DC. In the station we met two fantastic ladies who were huge Macca fans. They saw the Beatles when they were teenagers, they've seen Paul many times, Ringo a few times, and they recently saw James. One lady even has a letter from John Lennon when she wrote to him in 1977 and he replied. What a treasure! We got to the stadium early, got our field wristbands and got bored (and claustrophobic) at the tailgate party, so we decided to leave and walk around. We waited for a pretty long time at the limo watch. My friend stood on the curb. I got bored with it and sort of hung back a bit near the truck entrance. I saw Brian Riddle (security) standing outside, so with a plan, I approached him. I had purchased a medium-sized stuffed grasshopper "Harold". I brought him to the show in hopes of convincing someone from the crew to put it on Paul's piano- for a laugh. I handed it to Brian and asked him about it. He said to me, "Oh! Do you have ANY idea how many of these things I have to take back to London now?!" I asked him, " You mean....... I'm not.... original?!" He laughed and said, "Noooooo." But he did say he would give it to the piano guy. COOL! After Paul zipped in, we were taking some photos, and I DID get to meet fellow boardie ktl1983, his girlfriend and two friends. That was great! My friend and I decided to walk around a bit and then return to the tailgate party because that was supposed to be the "faster and easier" way to get in. WRONG! It took FOREVER! I think there were scanning issues. I didn't get to my seat until the pre-show video thingy began. Ktl1983 and his crew were directly behind us. I also get to meet Daisy. I tried my best to hand out the "Drink To Me" signs and explain the plan. Then it was SHOWTIME! We were located in section 5 row 3 seats 19 & 20. A bit too far to the left for a great view. It wouldn't have been too bad if it hadn't been for that confounded camera and crane! It was in the way... A LOT! That crane was a HUGE spoiler to me. The "Drink To Me" bit was a disappointment. I know Paul couldn't hear anyone singing the lyrics over the cheers, but I am CERTAIN he saw and read the signs. I saw minimal reaction from him. However, when Paul went to the piano, and I looked up at the screen and saw him pick up MY Harold, my evening was made! I thought- that was the closest I was getting to MACCA GREATNESS! Afterwards, I was thinking- BOY, I would LOVE to get Harold back! We walked around to the side where Paul came in for soundcheck. I talked to a SUPER NICE roadie who said if he could, he would go look right now, but he was certain it was already tossed in a box. He took my phone number and told me he would call me if he happens to see it. Here's hoping he sees it in Indy tonight and calls me! As for the show, the view was bad, the music was OUTSTANDING! I was SUPER shocked to see so many people in 1st and 2nd row sitting and/or texting... like they were bored- or something. Oh well, I sang and danced the night away! I loved meeting a couple of boardies. Although the signs were not a hit, doing it and having Harold on the piano, I felt a little bit part of the show. Ktl1983-you guys were so friendly and awesome! You made the experience fun too!
You were the group that was having a blast! I was directly behind you by a few rows...row 10 seats 17&18...I would not have wanted to be any closer in that section. The map on tickets.com was VERY deceptive. It showed sections 3-5 directly in front of the stage. I don't think I'll do a gold package at an outdoor show again. It was fantastic, but not worth the extra $400 from a the seats I had in row 20 I nthe mid section at Yankee Stadium.

Back home now after long trip back from D.C. for the concert/visiting with family. Sorry we didn't have time to meet any boardies, we were on a tight schedule prior to the concert. All the new numbers included were great. I had told my wife about the Drink to Me surprise so, like everyone else, was disappointed when it didn't work out but from our seats in Section 134, we could certainly see all of you trying. It was a very clever idea. Saw Harold as well and wondered about that! Glad he made it on stage. Now to get some rest, if I can.

Back home in Omaha, NE after a whirlwind trip. Nothing new to report from the show...horrible management of the crowd by Nationals Stadium staff. Limo watch was fun but the tailgate was a joke. Ours seats were 27th row in the very center section and they were fantastic. An older couple had the seats next to me and after sitting stone faced through a few songs they promptly got up and left. They never came back so I had the 3 chairs to dance in front of which was awesome. I had a lot of people stop me to take pictures of my tattoos which was amusing. Took an hour and a half to get back to the hotel via the metro. Overall a great night but I would never ever see a concert at Nationals Stadium again.

That was amazing. Paul looked at your Harold, kind of turned it around to examine it, and then nodded in a show of pleased surprise at the placement. It was a true spontaneous moment in the show! If anyone sees a photo of Paul in the coolest pose of the night, I'd love to see it. He took the bass in his right hand and held it out pointing to 10 o'clock, and the pointed up at it with the left hand. It was so cool...

The show was great. I was so happy to meet Vicks30 and Ktl1983, his fiance, his sister and mom. There wasn't much time to chat as I got into the stadium late. The whole experience of getting into the stadium was horrible - what a pain in the rear to wait so long only to have to wait in line again for wristbands. I felt so bad for the folks who waited in line and then had scanning problems. Sorry Jen! I feel bad about it, but I saw tons of people with the same issue. Not sure what the problem was. My seat was 2 rows behind Vicks30 and it was a little too off to the side for me and yes, that camera and crane were in the way for me as well. The music was fantastic. I LOVED seeing Paulie again. How I love that man!! I would have enjoyed the show much more if I didn't have this drunk older man sitting next to me and getting too close to me while I was dancing and trying to enjoy the show. It started getting annoying when I could feel his belly on my back and I started telling him to give me more space. He said, "Oh, I'm sorry." He moved back for about a second, but then kept creeping closer to me throughout the show. I wanted to slap him! But I was trying to focus on Paulie. It was the first time I've ever had this happen at a Paul show. It makes me sick just thinking about that drunk idiot. Other than that, I am glad I was able to see Paulie again and that it didn't rain during the show! My highlight was "Your Mother Should Know."

Btw, Vicks30, I still think your idea was fab - I think the signs were hard to read. We probably needed at least a few bigger signs and then everyone else with the smaller ones. When I tried to pass out mine, everyone said they already had them. Sorry it didn't work out. It's so cool you gave Paul Harold on the piano!!! I hope you get him back...how awesome that would be! Please update us if you do!

Michelley:
No slight intended! I've just found that people I've talked to who like McCartney II tend to like Paul's pre-show music, and people who don't like that record, and don't like EDM, tend not to. Just different strokes!
Oh, by all means, no slight perceived honestly and thank you. Hey, "I can't get through a day without "Temporary Secretary" :^), myself. Have a great night!

Harold made his appearance at the soundcheck. He was wheeled in on top of the Magic Piano, and had the best seat in the house as Paul played "Lady Madonna." Paul picked him up after the song, and held him and waved him at the soundcheckers. He must have been placed on the grand piano before the show. I didn't get any photos of him in the show because of my angle (he wasn't visible). I did get about 10 photos in soundcheck with him. Podgie (I'm glad he was alone and not with a swarm) Monkey

Have to say it was great meeting Daisy, Vicki and friends and some of the other boardies at the show! It really added to the experience having such fun and friendly people surrounding us. My fiance, mom and sister, who were all with me, keep commenting on how nice and fun everyone was and how much that added to the whole experience. My fiance had never been to one of his shows before and it's safe to say that now she's got the bug. And a big part of that is how friendly all the fans were, Daisy and Vickie in particular. So thank you guys! While there were a few fuddy duddies around, most of the people in our immediate area were some of the most energetic and fun people I've seen at a McCartney show. I couldn't help but notice when one of the guys in the row in front of us (who was pretty stoic most of the show) sat down during Carry That Weight. I thought to myself...you've got to be kidding me...how lame. But then I glanced over at him. He was smiling and dabbing tears out of his eyes, you could tell it really got to him. It was touching and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dabbing my eyes after that too. It was kind of a bummer that the "Drink to Me" bit didn't work out as planned, though it was really cool to see Vickie's Harold up there on the piano with Paul! Sorry I couldn't get a decent pic of it, though it looks like there's been some posted here. LOVED the new additions to the set list....some of these songs I've wanted to hear for years. Nice to see Wings finally getting some love! Also loved that Paul saw my sign asking where "Carnival of Light" was. He pointed at it when they were driving in and again during the show pointed it out to one of the band members and tapped his watch and mouthed "give it time." Here's hoping they release it one day...weird as it probably is. Thanks again guys for making this one extra special!

I am starting to get that "missing Paul depression" again, actually about the whole city of DC. I had SUCH a great time just seeing everything! It was my first time there and I can't wait to go back again someday...Hint Hint Paul...Please return again!
