21st Century Paul:
maccascruff:
Band on the Run was messed up in lyrics. Don't know whether one of the band members messed up their part which led to Paul messing up lyrics or what. But it was messed up lyric wise. Totally, completely Paul zonked!
it's the first night (after a long time), there just got to be mistakes...
My statement was not a criticism, just an observation.

I don't gush over myself often, if ever, so please forgive this: I took some photos of MJ Kim, Paul's photographer, as I was getting close-up's of all of Paul's band, and I tagged him in the photos on Facebook. Not only did he "like" them, but his wife (I think she is at least! )shared one of them. This new camera is amazing! And idiot-proof! Here's the photo: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/8758_10151293488776181_1585577143_n.jpg Mod Edit Image reduced to a link to aid page composition - to view just click the link above.

Thanks for all the great pictures, walliebaby. We were in section 115 front row and we had a better view than our floor seats in Cincy last year. This was my 4th concert and I thought Paul sounded better than I've ever heard him last night. My daughter and I had the time of our lives and it was worth the 5 hour drive and the crappy weather. We are still on a concert high. We heard 5 songs last night we hadn't heard him do before. I know a lot of people here complain about the set list but we love it. I'll go again if I have the opportunity. There was a couple with their 6-year-old son sitting next to us, and this kid knew all the words to most of the songs. It is awesome seeing so many enthusiastic young people at these concerts. As we were leaving the arena and walking back to our hotel, everyone was raving about the show. Paul is giving most people what they want, and as long as that's the case I don't think much will change. I understand why some people would rather hear more recent/solo work, and I certainly wouldn't mind that as I like almost everything he's ever done. But unlike most people here, I'm first and foremost a Beatles fan and seeing him perform those songs live is one of my greatest thrills. Thanks, Paul, for a magical evening.

The gang, small in number but big in laughs, at Maggie's post show. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/486202_10151293499086181_1086006182_n.jpg Mod Edit Image reduced to a link to aid page composition - to view just click the link above.

I have seen Paul four times now. And -- believe me -- he never sang better in the previous three concerts than he did tonight. The man brought it tonight. That was the biggest surprise for me: He was Paul McCartney in nearly top vocal form. The show was short on setlist surprises, however, "Birthday" in the first encore was very unexpected.
I remember some people saying he couldn't sing Maybe I'm Amazed any more. He sang it tonight and nailed it!
That is not an overstatement.

Bob G, Alvita, Sarah, Podge, Rick, and the rest (hope you're back in your house soon) had signs going all night. Paul was smiling, pointing, and laughing at you guys throughout most of the concert. I can't wait for Rick and Bob to post their pictures. Rick I sent you a PM

Went to the concert last night and had an amazing time. My parents always listened to Paul (Beatles, Wings, etc..) while I was growing up so I had a fond interest in him. I took a few photos on my phone, here is one. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/616049_10151333833009880_345727171_o.jpg Mod Edit Image reduced to a link to aid page composition - to view just click the link above. Does anyone know if they release DVDs of the concert? I would love to purchase it if/when it becomes available. Or will the entire show pop up on YouTube eventually?

I enjoyed every minute of it. Strong vocals, especially on "Maybe I'm Amazed" which he sounded 35 again. Brought a friend who had never seen Paul before (nor had an idea of his live concerts). Equally impressed. Kind of startling to hear such a screw-up on "Band On The Run", but they got back on track and ya gotta cut some slack after a 6 month tour hiatus. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/63854_2553531335573_469025221_n.jpg Mod Edit Image reduced to a link to aid page composition - to view just click the link above.

I took some pretty good video from section 305. I also went around at the end to section 111 and got some shots from dead center. Live and Let Die and Hey Jude are on there as well. Check it out! Here's my channel....
