<<Crowded House have done a similar thing too, sometimes CD's other times USB sticks of the gig. I'm seeing Squeeze on Saturday and Glenn and Chris from the band are selling CD's and USB's of the show right after it finishes, should be fun, but chaotic.?? first of all Crowded House...sigh (Mr. Finn is up there as musical god #2 in my book) and they've always released their shows live through their fan club. I think its a brilliant idea.

Yeah, I totally wasn't expecting them to let us in the lobby! It was so wonderful to get to hear (obstructed as it was) songs he didn't play at the concert. Speaking of songs he played at the concert...have a little Junior's Farm!
Why does that video say Tulsa?
LOL, whoooops! I'm still totally Macca-dazed!! Fixed it now!

Me Too... Now we just have to wait until next year...Damn it!!

If you wanna end drought throughout the world, just schedule a McCartney World Tour. If he comes, it will rain.
I was thinking the same thing, at least as far as outdoor gigs go. At least we'll be indoors.
That is very true. Actually almost entirely true. Every show except Yankee Stadium for me was a dreary rainy day!
Was I right, or was I right?
-
Sure did rain...I booked the Sheraton simply because it was close enough to walk to. Luckily the rain eased up long enough to walk over..

Here is the setlist I was given by security at the show. "My Valentine" omitted.
Hey that's very interesting. For how Paul calls some songs like "Long and Winding" instead of "The Long..." or just "Golden Slumbers" instead of "GS/CTW/TE" Or Obla di Obla da. Many think we have to write it like on the Beatles release Ob-la-di... "I Gotta Feeling" looks like Paul is going to do this

Yes, it did rain and I was sorry I had switched to the Doubletree about that time. Rained hard when we walked to venue for sound check.

Re "official" setlist: note the spelling of "Vanderbilt." Hope that settles it. OTOH "Gotta" is definitely wrong.

yes, and there's another, "Juniors" Farm
-
Really? Are we getting that deep into his mind to believe that the setlist spellings are "end all" type facts? Here's a setlist from the first beach boys post-reunion tour...note "vibes" "rhonda" and "cal girls" to name a few...the point of a setlist is to be a short quick reminder to everyone involved in the production what is next. It takes a lot longer to read "When I grow up to be a man" than to read "grow up".
-
I agree Wix this is just reading too much into it, interesting yes a little but significant I do not think so.

Whoever typed that up was not going by grammar or "proper" spellings of anything. The original family was the Vanderbilts, yes. But Paul's LP has it spelled Vandebilt which was probably a mistake at the time that was never corrected on subsequent pressings of the album.

I think that is the case.

I have never been to a tour opener for Paul so I was wondering if practicing the night before at the venue was a normal thing for Paul?? Thanks
-
Was it me or were there far less pictures of John shown on the screen during the show?? I know he used to show John during some of the old Beatle footage and during "Here Today" but I do not remember seeing any of John.

I don't think so. Vandebilt (without the r) is intentional. Why else would the lyrics for the song not have the r. And the singles released at the time.

maybe it was to avoid getting sued or something

I wouldn't call this a separate 'tour'. It's just a continuation of On The Run...isn't it? He just took time off in the middle of it. Time to play forthe Queen & do the Olympics...everyday occurances, huh? lol But YES, I've heard he usually does do rehearsals the day before. I heard he did some in Mexico & South America.
-
Why did the "On The Run" lettering switch from gray to red??

Everytime I've seen him do it, he has waterfalls or something very natural and earthy on the backdrop. I never take pictures during that song since it is such a sincere moment in the show. Perhaps he had pictures of John in the 2002/2003/ shows?
