Just bought 2 tickets for the boyfriend and me!!! Section A, Row 26, Seats 6 and 7 (which, I think, are closer to Section B than the outside of the stage). Remembering how great my view was from Row 20 back last summer, I'm thrilled! I had to pay a premium on Stubhub since I missed the presale, but I'm so excited to take him to his first Paul concert as a birthday present!! Now he definitely owes me since I am officially the best girlfriend ever. Can't wait!!!

I think you are right. When I called the Scottrade Arena they told me that facing the stage the floor sections start right to left with 1. So seat 1 in Section A would be right next to the center section (B). Enjoy, and you are right you are officially the best girlfriend ever!

Cool Hope you enjoy the show, of course I do think you might.

LOL, thank you! I hope he agrees! He's a big Beatles fan, so I think he'll be very, very excited.

Having seen Chuck Berry at Blueberry Hill this past summer, I must unfortunately report that you do not want him onstage with Paul. He still has charisma for sure, but I was very disheartened to discover that he not only forgot what song he was playing at some points (he played a couple of songs twice, oblivious) but plays his guitar off-key far more often than not.

Keith Richards nearly gave himself a heart attack, trying to shape up Chuck Berry's show in the late '80s. If you've seen the concert-documentary, you know what I'm talking about. And, now, it sounds like age has made the situation much worse.

When I saw him a couple of years ago he was still able to put on a good show. I saw one of Koko Taylor's final performances and it was rather sad. Some artists are compelled to continue to perform for financial reasons and others do just for the love of it. Hopefully Paul will recognize if it is no longer worth it but I, of course, wish him vitality up until the end.

I'm afraid to ask, but... ...how bad was that Koko Taylor show? She was a real fire-cracker in her prime.
-
Too Bad, I would love to have seen them both in their prime, both were greats.
-
Koko was still a dynamic performer but she would forget her setlist and repeat songs as well as her stage patter. At least Paul tells his familiar anecdotes just once per show.

Let's just hope that it never gets to the point when Paul might say, "This one's for the Wings fans" ... ...and then goes into "Get Back."

He should get Chuck on stage. Chuck could use the attention, saw chuck when he came to Ft. Worth, only 250 tickets got sold. He can play the opening notes pretty well still but from then on his riffs are not up to his glory days standards. but as long as chuck makes the effort, I think Paul should welcome an old friend. And he remembered the words to My-ding-a-ling Also, i remember somewhere that his guitar is out of tune on purpose. The beatles covered 2 Chuck Berry songs, and with Chuck at 85 and still doing live gigs, I don't think there will be much more opportunities like this.
-
Altough, paul might not want to give the impression that you payed $200-$2000 to watch 2 old dudes who are past their musical prime

I just got an email titled Guest Relations regarding the St. Louis Union Station Marriot. Effective October 12th 2012 the Name of the hotel will be Double Tree by Hilton St Louis Union Station. They say reservations will be honored. Probably a good idea if you are staying there for the concert to reconfirm your reservation.

I got one too, and I just called and they said the reservations will be switched over when they become a Doubletree, but I will call them again on the 12 just to be sure.

I got the same email and then I went onto the Doubletree site and rebooked my reservation. Even though the email said our reservation would be transferred I wanted to see what was available on Hilton/Doubletree website.I found it interesting there were plenty of rooms available for Nov 11.. and I got a better value, they offered many more options than the Marriott, many price levels, room types and specials.
