Altough, paul might not want to give the impression that you payed $200-$2000 to watch 2 old dudes who are past their musical prime
But Paul likes to try appear younger than his years... (and hey, who doesn't?!).... Standing next to current day Chuck, Paul would look like a kid!
-
good point, i'm not even going to this concert and I still want a Chuck appearance

I got the same email and then I went onto the Doubletree site and rebooked my reservation. Even though the email said our reservation would be transferred I wanted to see what was available on Hilton/Doubletree website.I found it interesting there were plenty of rooms available for Nov 11.. and I got a better value, they offered many more options than the Marriott, many price levels, room types and specials.
Thanks to you for this information, I went to the Doubletree site and we are now staying there.

You are the Queen of hotel reservations! You've had so many! And.....perhaps I'm just jealous that we're staying in the scary Millennium! haha

Since I'm on a tight budget given how much the tickets were, I think we'll stay at the airport Hilton ... it can't be that bad and it's only $85/night, including all of the fees (if you book it through hotels.com). Not that I'm trying to give them free advertising!

I'm sure you will be quite comfortable at the airport Hilton. It's just the location that is less desirable.

Hhhmm... the Marriot got sold out. Doubletree buys the Marriot. Same hotel, same number of rooms. Now the Doubletree has rooms to rent on the sold out Marriot night. What's wrong with this picture? Seems to me that some people with reservations are not going to have their room that night. Can you say "double booked'?

Was the hockey team supposed to have a game? Price is lower.
-
I am not sure I was thinking there was one the day before but not sure.

That's a road game. I don't know why rooms were so hard to come by but I think someone upthread made reference to a conference.

The St. Louis Blues have a game scheduled for November 10th, but the NHL is currently in a lockout and all games up to October 24th have been cancelled. I don't know how that would affect hotel reservations.
-
Hockey team wouldn't affect hotels because the game is a road game.

For those visiting St. Louis with time to kill and looking for something to do... The Budweiser brewery has free tours. I did it while visiting there this summer. That place is a well oiled machine. Good fun it was. http://www.budweisertours.com/z01/index.php/st-louis/overview

Hooray! My tickets just arrived from Crowdsurge, via FedEx (signature required, so make sure someone's home)
-
My tickets have NOT arrived, so I called Ticketmaster, and it seems they were sent to the correct address, but returned for some unknown reason, and set as Will Pick up. I have had them redirected to be delivered, so here's hoping...

Did CrowdSurge send you an email before they were shipped?

I literally JUST received an e-mail from Crowdsurge giving me a tracking number and letting me know my tickets have been sent to me... Excitement building as we speak!

Technically, my email says my tickets have been 'dispatched'. Hope that's their way of saying they've been mailed!

Will I enjoy it if I don't drink beer? I really do fancy seeing the Clydesdales to tell you the truth. and that's a no to Chuck Berry, not that my opinion means diddly. I paid to see 2 1/2 hours of Paul. That's really all I want to see.
