NYC, NY - MSG - 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Benefit - ARCHIVE

In all fairness, Kanye West has been supportive of past Hurricane Relief efforts. People who wonder why he didn't address the crowd must have forgot about this...

I love the jeans compared to the usual Beatley outfit and boots. He was much more comfortable on stage, too, sounding great and bopping around. Maybe the "Mom jeans" had magical powers over him?
Not sure were the moms jeans thing comes from i just cant help but feel there should be an age limit on jeans, for box sexes

I remember that moment quite clearly.
It was a weird choice to lump Kanye in with that line-up, but the younger folks in the crowd were LOVING him being there. He just went for too long.

Glad folks like the photos--I was worried I was posting too many.
I still have over 45o that I haven't posted, but I'm not going to crash the forum.
-
Well the line up was'nt to my liking but it was very old fartish, so no one in new jersey, new york etc is under 40? ok who came on after clapton again as we now have Richard Wagners Lohengrin, instead of the rest of the show. yes we are a happy bunny.

Forgive me if anyone has posted this already. Sean is interviewed backstage:

Paul's van also ran me over as I crossed the street, and when I figured out it was him, I see Sean Lennon being driven out: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151339701071181&comment_id=26061841¬if_t=like Nancy--I didn't realize Sean was there until, well, the above video, but thanks for the link--good to hear from him.

Governor Christie, among other east coast governors/mayors -- and, of course, our President -- handled the crisis much better than the shame that was the Hurricane Katrina effort. Kanye West spoke for a lot of us in 2005. That doesn't make me forgive him for over-staying his welcome on the stage last night, however...

Did you hear him say James was there too? P.S. Your photo says currently unavailable.

Finally, my last video loaded. I'm not sure how much of this the cameras caught last night, so I wanted to record Paul rocking out on stage and mingling with the rescue workers during Alicia Keys closing out the show. The video also includes some Paul dance moves.

I certainly did not forget this moment. Regardless, he is an adult and should have at least made an effort to address the crowd in some positive way. Even a smile or hello would have been refreshing. The rest of the acts were engaging and acknowledged the audience. AND as I said earlier I do appreciate the time he donated to the event. Ehhh, whatever ... it was a great night, for a good cause and that is all that matters.

James left earlier, I guess, at least according to the folks I talked to who hadn't gotten tickets but who waited around all night to see the performers leave, although I'm sure he stuck around for the Nirvana reunion.

I figured out how to make the album public, but I'm not leaving it public for more than a day, so enjoy it while you can.
Please folks, don't share my photos or post them in other groups, okay? I'm hoping to use them in my book.

I just finished reading about 35 pages here!! LOVED Paul--he rocked! And I liked the fact he wore jeans, but kind of agreed with audi, they need to be tighter! oobu, are you with me here?
Also loved how Paul changed guitars about 6 times!
I was watching on HBO so nothing was cut or censored! Daltrey "Who the fu*k are you?" and Townsend cracked me up--"Have a fu*king beer!"
Couldn't believe that idiot Brian Williams called Pete Townshend "Keith Moon!" I thought the Stones sucked, but I've never been a fan. Biggest waste of time was Kanye--WTF was he doing there anyway? So glad he did not do Hey Jude, Let It Be or TLAWR!! Great selection of songs.
-
walliebaby, still can't see your stuff on FB. I'm logged on too.

ETA: Here's the link--enjoy it fast, as it's not going to be public for longer than Friday and part of Saturday.

He needs something to play on Saturday Night Live, after all.
