Yeah...but whatever he soundchecked doesn't mean it'll be in the show. BTW 5th...thanks for posting the pics!
You're welcome! Usually Paul soundchecks those "special songs" (honey don't, blue suede shoes, penny lane, flaming pie, celebration, etc.) for those who paid for the Hot Sound package, but since yesterday was a rehearsal for the bands that will perform in the 12-12-12 concert, I believe Paul actually rehearsed the songs from his setlist.
Maybe Too Much Rain?

Nothing is more underapreciated than the Frog Chorus.

Have a great time everyone.

The good ol' days... Dave Grohl - Hi, Axl! Where's Axl?:
That's fantastic! I totally remember that- Kris dropping his bass on his head. (he was always a douchebag)

Paul McCartney Talks Hurricane Sandy:
I was wondering where Paul's video was! They've been adding videos of the concert performers to the FB and Twitter pages for the concert every few days. Glad Paul got one, too. Love the song choice, too--hoping it gets played!

I was a young guy then, and I remember it well. I didn't understand why he was shocked when he'd clocked himself with his bass.

So am I the only once EXTREMELY nervous for Paul? He's trending worldwide on Twitter with most of the responses seemingly negative and as much as I want him to show people he's still got it i'm very worried he's going to F*CK it up!!
No, you're not...I'm EXTREMELY nervous.

He's going to do fine... Paul is a leader... Dave Grohl thinks Paul is really cool... so do people like the Who and Bruce and all the other musicians who respect Paul so much! The people who write those comments are only followers, they want to pull everyone down into their leaky boat and they hope he sinks with them. He won't because he's Paul... and he's doing a great thing today, as well as all of the other musicians up there... Paul is a true innovator in the music field... he always has been.

Rolling Stone says this is a confirmation that Paul and "Nirvana" will be playing a new song. No idea who wrote it. Still seems like an April Fools joke to me. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/paul-mccartney-to-perform-with-dave-grohl-and-friends-at-12-12-12-20121212 Krist NovoselicVerified@KristNovoselic It is a new song that's kind of Helter Skelter meets Scentless Apprentice. It rocks with a heavy groove. St. Paul is powerful. @Pontifex

There were reports going round that Paul and Dave Grohl had recorded together...maybe it's that song?

"No idea who wrote it"? Do you mean the Tweet? That's Krist Novoselic, bassist of Nirvana . This was already confirmed last night by someone who attended the rehearsals btw: "a big bluesy jam actually... It works because Paul uses his Helter Skelter voice!" ([" >

Paul's voice does do better live on the rock-ier tunes, usually, compared to the quieter ones. Think he'll rock out tonight??

I like the songs where David Grohl has joined Paul. However, I'm old and don't know any Nirvana music. None whatsoever. And that picture of Paul as Cobain is the most disturbing ever.

Let us have a moment of silence before the show begins for Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. Without them organizing Bangladesh benefit in 1971, we wouldn't be having a show like this. Ravi passed away yesterday. thanks.
