Kanye only did 3 songs??????? My God, it went on forEVER..I kept checking back to see if he was done..seemed like he was on for hours... What a waste of air time-they could have had a great jam session in his spot.
It's funny you say that because I had no idea how many songs he did. They all seemed to run together. I asked my husband throughout Kanye's set if he knew what number song he was on. He actually said, "isn't it just one very long song" ? LOL I appreciate that Kanye wanted to appear and gave his time. But it was definitely an odd choice given the other acts performing. AND I was also a bit annoyed that he never spoke to the audience and just ended by dropping his mic and walking off. I get it Kanye, it's your "thang" but it was a bit obnoxious.

Does anyone know of a rebroadcast???? Unfortunately, I have a fever/cold rigth now and couldn't say up late Fortunately, I programmed the DVR to tape until 1:00 eastern time US on AMC; unfortunately, it cuts off right at the start of Cut Me Some Slack that I saw on Youtube early this morning! Here's hoping the networks cut people like me some slack and rebroadcast
They are rebroadcasting the "LIVE STREAM" here (so you can't rewind or go forward, only watch "Live"). I just watched the end of it again, and right now it says that the "encore replay will start (again) in a moment"
Thanks--I'm going to watch it this weekend as I'd like to see what the television- and internet-viewing audiences saw.
Sounds good, thanks to you both. I wil wait till I am well enough to get off this laptop, watch on desktop as my better half doesn't want me to infect the keyboards she uses.
Funny--she missed Toronto with an illness, and you miss the Sandy benefit with an illness. Perhaps you're both suffering from Paulatosis?

I actually thought he was doing a medley of some of his songs/hits. As there were some stops and changes here and there... kind of symphonic hip hop?

They must be planning a DVD release...all those links are not available in the US.

That MUST be it!!!. Thank the Lord I wasn't sick for Toronto as that involved air fare. Oh well, tonight is a come down, just football on the NFL network.

I was wondering if they would be stripping the links today. I'll have to post my videos to here or my Facebook page directly. I didn't take any videos of songs, just the in between stuff as I wasn't sure what the cameras were showing and not showing.

Speaking of the inbetween stuff...they must have had a whole bunch of stagehands setting evreything up for the bands huh? I can't imagine the nightmare it must have been for them to set the stage with so little time available. Job well done!

21st Century Paul:
Here's Paul already legendary performance (I'm glad he didn't retire after the Olympics ) : From the concert: 1.Helter Skelter hd
2.Let Me Roll It hd 3. 1985 hd 4. My Valentine (feat. Diana Krall) 5. Blackbird hd 6. Cut Me Some Slack hd (ft. Nirvana except for Kurt Cobain,..) 7. I've Got A Feeling hd 8. Live And Let Die hd It reminds me of this one Queen-Live Aid PS is there anybody else who can perform with Diana Krall and Nirvana? Those links don't work. I feel like my head is gonna explode because I am SOOOOO mad @ ION for cutting away before Paul's performance for a ****ing wrestling match. I am beyond frustrated, I had been looking forward to last night for weeks.

They very intelligently had a rotating stage, so while one band was performing, the next band's equipment was being set up. I think that this is what led to the schedule of who performed. The longer acts played before the artists with a lot of equipment. Pretty smart, huh?

Thats cool insight, that walliebaby. So how sweet was Roger Waters show? That blew me away, I really enjoyed that. The Nirvana tinged Paul set slightly out did it for me, but Waters and band killed it. 3rd best I'd say was Billy Joel. man he rocks and has such a great selection of songs.

Yes, I really enjoyed Riger Waters. I loved Clapton & wished he had played more. I also thought the Who were just wild! And Zak on drums...he was killin it! Yes, Billy Joel was great too...he should have closed out the show. And then of course there was that guy McCartney!

Anybody aware if this is going to be released on DVD. I certainly hope so - the line up is superb !

I'd seen Roger Waters and Bruce Springsteen (separate shows ) this summer, and Roger was awesome, better than Bruce's show, for sure. The whole show was... I'm seeing The Who in February and am looking forward to it even more now. Billy also hit it out of the park for me, and Clapton...what can you say about Clapton aside from PLAY MORE SONGS! And then there was Kanye...

Prediction: Last night's set was "phase one" of a transition that will come into fruition in 2013.
I predict "phase one" will be when Doris gets her oats.

I agree, also I saw the same shows this year as far as Waters and Springsteen and I left springsteen after 6 songs I thought he was terrible.

Amazing concert. Was it broadcast in HD by any channel around the world? It was broadcast live by 4 channels here, but they were all SD.
Palladia had it in HD, and I got it all DVR'd baby! I love Nirvana again! That band sounded amazing. Wish they would move forward as a group, renamed of course. But that song came out of one session of making noise. Talk about potential. Love the guitar Paul played as well. Outside of that Nirvana/Paul tune, my fav was Pink Floyd. I thought they killed and had the strongest songs. Amazing concert.
Nirvana did move forward they're called the Foo Fighters been around for quite a few years now, this "reunion" thing is beginning to get a little on my nerves now Smear is with Grohl in the Foo Fighters and has been for a good while now,Novaselic did a guest part on the last Foo's album,so they've kept in close contact in the years since Kurt's death its not as if they haven't seen each other in the intervening years, hell im sure i read somewhere Novaselic joined the other 2 on stage at a foo fighter's concert a few years back, just seems a publicity stunt to continue to call it a "reunion"

Question for my American friends: Who te hell was that rapper and what the hell was he doing there? I could have gone to sleep earlier than 4 AM if he wouldn't have been on the bill, gawdarnit. or... they could have had Ray Davies or Elton John in his place.
