Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
-
I don't think there is any reason to have doubts on US dates for Paul...ever. It's always just a question of when...and if it weren't for the weirdness of 2012, we'd be able to say every year....Summertime = Paul in the states. I think we'll need more than NYC, Philly, and Firefly to justify the stint in June. One or two more cities. Maybe something way up North that he's never done before...Maine or Vermont? And maybe over to Cleveland? It's been awhile. Then I'd expect Western cities at the end of the summer and maybe even Canadian dates. I'd still be excessively thrilled by a 50th Ann. concert for Shea Stadium...but it's not looking that way.

I just don't see more dates around Firefly. He needs to have time with Bea. This is how he schedules things these days.

2013: June 8th&10th- Barclays June 12th-Colbert June 14th- Bonnaroo June 22nd- Warsaw June 25th- Verona June 27th- Vienna 2015: June 5th- Marseilles June 7th- Amsterdam June 11th- Paris June 19th- Firefly 6 shows performed (with Colbert 7). 2013: 1 week off in the beginning, followed by a week of shows, week off, followed by more shows (in Europe), followed by a week off. 2015: He has a week between Liverpool and Marseilles. That will be off. He has a week between Paris and Firefly. That will most likely be off. He would then (guessing) do a week of shows from the 20th-28th. Then another week off. Then Denmark. I see more shows happening. It all comes together. Probably a mini-tour. Firefly, DC, Philly, NYC are my guesses. Maybe even Concord, NH or Mohegan Sun in CT. Or HARTFORD!!! I see a US mini tour happening, followed by the 3 Euro dates, followed by a week or 2 off, followed by more US/Canada dates from July 25-Mid aug.

I would be thrilled if you're right. It is possible!

I think they want to keep gigs like the one in Liverpool special. Surely they anticipated the demand. Even with those prices. If they would plan all this by demand they would do an UK tour every year. (And uhm, not play football stadiums in Europe...)
I dont think the price of the tickets have gone up as much as it could have done frankly indeed i paid the same amount in total for the eagles last summer, expensive yes thats for sure but not as much as i thought it would be.

He has plenty of time for a tour AND with Bea. He has a good two thirds of the month of June here in the states. And KingMacca...I REALLY doubt DC. Too soon, too soon...

Also King Macca- I really doubt anything in CT- especially Mohegan Sun- Too small of a venue- approx 10,000. As far as Hartford goes, the only viable venue would be Rentschler Field where the capacity is around 40,000. NY is the most logical as he could do multiple stadium shows and probably sell out all of them.

It'll probably be June 27 at MSG. That date is open on Paul's and the Garden's. MSG would be unbelievably awesome. In Hartford, he could play the XL Center (13,600 seats for a concert- similar size to Albany). NYC, Hartford, Philly would make a great tour.

And he hasn't played MSG since 2005. Long overdue for a return. Perhaps Billy could make a guest appearance? Wishful thinking here...

When was the last time he played NJ? If he is continuing the out there tour that would possibly make sense, especially as the Prudential Center has such a great transport link into Manhattan and actually the rest of the East Coast. Plus it doesn't have much on this summer.

Didn't he play a big stadium there on 1993?

June 11th 93 at Giants Stadium. Almost as bad as New Mexico's wait

I've been crossing my fingers for six years, now, hoping he'd play the Pru. (18,711 capacity), or even Red Bull Stadium, right across the bridge from the Pru (25,189). The stadium was originally planned to include a concert stage, but after Red Bull took ownership, they changed the plans to more of a typical soccer stadium. I'm sure concerts can still be held there, but it's been under-utilised for that, for some reason. Paul definitely has to come back to the area, especially after skipping the NYC area last year. Fingers still crossed!

Yeah.. But at least Jersey has Philly and NYC. New Mexico has NOTHING.

In regards to MSG, I think you said that there are other shows all around it on the calendar....I would tend to doubt it (doesn't mean it can't happen) but this is the reason for Chicago did not get that 2nd show last year..Lady Gaga was the day after what would have been the 2nd show and the Paul set up and break down of his rather large set up and the same with Lady Gaga, it just wasn't possible time wise. I think a lot would depend on what groups are scheduled the days before and after what would be Paul's date on 27th for this guess to even have a remote chance. We also forget that this is probably why he has such a large retainer so that he has guaranteed money to come to a place. I'm sure his business managers have set the price to include these concerns to still make it profitable and be able to do these shows despite them not making sense to us

It's true! We have NOTHING!! My sister texted me the Rolling Stones may play Red Rocks in Denver this Summer. Sure enough, looks like they will announce a US Summer 2015 tour any day now. Any thoughts if this will effect Paul's US tour plans in the USA?

Is there in plan maybe second gig in Liverpool ???

I don't think so. Maroon 5 will do a show at the Echo Arena on May 29. Maybe a second concert in one of the other cities, if the demand for tickets is high enough. Probably in Paris, or perhaps Amsterdam?

When do you reckon US dates will be announced?

If any (The pessimist in me is still worried), Mid-April to early May.
