Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

puppywhimpers:
Now my thinking is Paul will hit the "A" markets of the US he didnt hit last year meaning NYC, Boston, Philly, DC since The Rolling Stones are hitting all secondary markets on their 17 city tour this summer. Its the same audience competing for the same concert dollar
DC & Boston got the "Out There" tour in 2013...I find them very unlikely. NYC & Philly seem like no-brainers though...maybe I'll get to both of 'em!

Out There 2013 US announcements started on April 1. Out There 2014 US Announcements started on April 8. Out There 2015 US Announcements start maybe tomorrow (doubt it), or the week of the 6th. Maybe even an announcement the 15th! Who knows! NYC and Philly I think are in the works. I think it'll be them and maybe some other cities.

I doubt it'll be tomorrow...have we ever gotten US announcements out of the blue without some sort of legitimate rumors beforehand? I think we've got at least two weeks of waiting. It's likely that the dates will be occurring later this summer than usual too.

Maybe the organizers are getting better at preventing leaks... we shall see.

Miami is a pretty big market that has not seen the Out There tour yet.

Right, but Miami got the Up and Coming Tour in 2010, plus Jacksonville and Orlando got stops for the Out There tour, so I'm guessing Paul's people think that Florida has been pretty well saturated in terms of shows. But, who knows? Maybe he'll come to Miami again.

No way it will be announced tomorrow - The Stones are doing their 2015 tour announcement tomorrow.

No way it will be announced tomorrow - The Stones are doing their 2015 tour announcement tomorrow.
I'm thinking 4/15

Wild guesses just make me tired. If nobody has any hints or real info, we just have to wait and see.

This is basically Paul's tour last year. So... This leads me to believe we will see more major markets this year, later in July/August
-
Paul probably in the USA late July and Aug.
-
I would venture to guess that Paul will not overlap ANY dates with their tour in the states, with the exception of this Firefly festival.

Yes. Hence my tour prediction above! I agree, not likely, unless he plays clear across the country from their concerts. U2 is also in the mix, which complicates the geography.

why? Their tours overlapped in 2013. I remember missing some May Chicago dates because I was in Tulsa seeing Paul instead.
-
Maybe McCartney was waiting to see where the Stones and U2 are going before routing his tour.
-
Shouldn't they be the ones concerned about McCartney's touring schedule?

Also, McCartney's bookers don't get informed about the touring plans of artists through the public press releases, haha. Festival headliners like Firefly and Roskilde are being talked about up to one year in advance, touring plans like on this scale months and months before final announcement.

Realistically, he tours here every year, so really is not a threat. They, however, tour every few years, so, like it or not, their tour is much more of an event. However, if he toured every three or four years, he would be much more formidable.
