Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

Sorry to repeat myself, but I need to know this from people who have purchased soundcheck packages in Europe and the UK: Regarding the VIP packages, there is a warning: "Bespoke information packs and tickets sent in advance". Does that mean the bag with merchandise and tickets will be sent in the mail? Was it that way in previous years? When you get a VIP package in South America they just send you an e-mail (a few days before the concert) saying where and when you should go to. Once you are there (day of the concert, special entrance at the venue) they give you a bag of merchandise, your ticket and then you have access to a reserved area to eat and drink before soundcheck. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if they want to send stuff in the mail, it's possible the package will not arrive before the customer has left his country, especially for those who live outside Europe.

Congratulations to my European friends! Hopefully this will narrow the (justified) whining to Australia

i doubt we'll afford that, but my sister says just in case all we get offered is the back row i'm to look into it as a last resort! so does anyone know - past things for Paul vip at event travel list front row as being the side block on the floor, and the hot sound package being premium rows 3 to 6. this new page has no mention of where the front row is (ie you could pay a fortune and be the side and not be told) or what rows the hot sound premium is. Anyone know?

in the case of vienna soundcheck 2013 it was the same as u wrote. We got an e-mail only a few days before the gig and all the merchandise stuff directly while entering the station. To which EU concerts are u tend at the moment?

Congrats to all our European members! Very happy for you. Hope Australia gets shows at some point. Looking at that schedule, I wonder if a couple of US dates will be filled in around Firefly. Could easily do 1 before and 2 after before heading back to Europe. Hard to believe he will only do 1 show in US in June (doesn't make sense logistically and financially for the touring company). Also have to believe he will have dates in Late July/August somewhere. I'm thinking back to the US there for late summer shows. But who knows maybe somewhere else. RamblinRed

For soundcheck in Chicago August 2011 the ticket was separate from the merchandise. So the merchandise actually arrived like 4 or 5 weeks after the show. But I see what you mean about being worried it'll not arrive in time. The good thing with VIP is that you can usually call or email and get stuff sorted out, just in case.

that's an important fact! While my first and last soundcheck (vienna) we had the luck that there we no seats. So it was only a question of "fans on the run" But I know from the Warsaw concert, that fans who bought soundcheck ticket really got stupid front row tickets on the extremly left or right side. I had standart front row tickets; the first two seats on the left block. Next to me wasthe seat of the polish lady (also member of this board) with her striking "Paul comes to Poland" heart. I suppose some EU fans know her too. The intereting thing is that she was at the soundeheck and got this bad front row tickets. Fortunately we (all) could use the chance to run/move at the beginning of the concert to the middle block. My wife an me are also interessted in a further soundcheck. The main question at the moments is which gig's have GA Standing . In the case of amsterdam there are standing tickets. Maybe it that case for the other concerts too. Then we know the reason why the new eventtravel page has no mention of where the front row is...

could people help me out with a reserved seating or GA for each of the shows? Stadium vs arena. So far this is what I know... ?/arena The O2, London, Great Britain ?/arena Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, Great Britain Reserve/Arena Echo Arena, Liverpool, Great Britain ?/Stadium Nouveau Stade Velodrome, Marseille, France GA/? ZiggoDome, Amsterdam, Holland ?/stadium Stade De France, Paris, France ?/outdoors Roskilde Festival, Denmark ?/arena Telenor Arena, Oslo, Norway ?/arena Tele2 Arena, Stockholm, Sweden

On one of those steep package sites is stating that the "early entrance general admission" thing is exclusive to Amsterdam, so one can assume that Amsterdam is the only general admission standing gig of this tour .

What is the question exactly? Whether these gigs are seated or GA? I posted a few seating plans and prices schemes already, let me look them up in a bit, if you can't find them. Amsterdam is general admission standing, with seats at the sides/balcony (http://www.ziggodome.nl/img/event/Plattegrond_ZiggoDome_rolstoel_groot.png),,) as usual over here. What a shock this morning when the seating info popped up. Roskilde is general admission standing obviously. France not sure, but I found the rest as well. Oslo and Stockholm are named arenas, but with the big capacity (23,000 and 45,000) they could be considered stadiums, especially the latter. The Oslo date has a fixed roof. The Stockholm one a rectractable roof, so that could be either way. edit: Ah, I see your edited your list.

Yes, wanted to know which are indoor (arena) vs outdoor (stadium) - although there can be indoor stadiums or open air arenas So far Amsterdam is the only GA option (for floor). Looks like last time Stade de France was seated.... so I might have to try to Amsterdam... Thanks!

I see. Yes, Amsterdam is by far the best option of this list. An unique chance if I look at the... tough conditions of a regular McCartney show. This is relaxed: get there when you want for the place you want, get as near as possible if you are there in time, for a price where you normally can't even get a nosebleed seat for, great venue (for this category of acts) with fantastic sound, located 10 minutes by metro or train from Amsterdam Central Station, in June so no winter jackets... I can't believe our luck.

And here's another link to that: https://slotix.com/tours/paul-mccartney/out-there-in-europe-amp-uk/6bb05caf0730ccfce102e1e5e93a4f14VwR4BFV%3D#toppromo
No prices listed. BTW I do see from the descriptions that they are selling "early entry" for any of the shows that are doing a GA floor...there is one package that doesn't even come with soundcheck, it's just an early entry GA plus some merch, I think.

Congratulations to the EU/UKA fans, your time has finally come!
I saw the news from Dennis Mitchel's facebook page six hours after it got posted overnight. I still can't believe it but I had to stop screaming to remember I had a bus to catch It's now like a military operation to get things sorted to get any ticket but I had no idea the 02 was the starting date and on a date I can attend. Good Luck everybody this weekend with your purchase attempts!

I have always dreamed of watching a McCartney tour in Europe and in the UK, so this will be a dream come true for me as well!

FWIW, In the Beatles Examiner write up it mentions that sources say there is a possibility more dates could be added later. http://www.examiner.com/article/paul-mccartney-taking-his-out-there-tour-to-europe-this-summer RamblinRed

But those "sources" could just be us here on the board!

Same source that said Billy Joel would show up at Irving Plaza . I'm more interested to see how the US gigs will go down. I can see him do a show or two for Firefly. It doesn't make sense to just do one show in the USA. I also can see him do say 2 shows with Firefly, probably in Philly or NYC, and then a late summer tour in the US. He could do shows on the 22 and 23 of June or 23 and 25, whatever. That leaves 8 days from Europe to USA, and 9 days from USA to Europe (about). Plenty of days (14-16) for custody, which is half a month. Then, after Europe, starting a US tour on July 25 or something, and doing six or so shows. Maybe more. I could see these cities: -Toronto -Montreal -Philadelphia -New York City -Charlotte -Another East Coast City (Boston? HARTFORD????) Again, no info. Just congrats to the Europeans!

A European Tour in 2015 is a smart move. This means he won't have to change the tour name or set list. I'd be surprised if he plays many, or any, US markets this year that has already seen the Out There tour.
