"Out There" 2013 Setlist Critique and Suggestions

You tell him Jen! Fair enough if people have a few grumbles about a static set list but to dismiss all Beatles work as boring is ludicrous. It's as ridiculous as the Beatle fans who dismiss the solo work! It's all Paul, just because Lovely Rita was done with The Beatles and you class yourself as a solo fan it doesn't mean it's not still an incredible song!! Idiot!

I've seen a few people saying that they think Paul will take out Hope of Deliverance in the states, you guys think there is any chance he replaces it with A Day in the Life?
If he's going to replace it - just because the US audience needs to be spoon-fed and can't handle a good song which coincidently wasn't a huge hit in the US : - it will be swapped with one (semi-)acoustic song: 'Things We Said Today', 'I'm Looking Through You' or 'Two Of Us' again. Or something else.
You know, the funny thing is the last time he played for the Dutch, Hope of Deliverance wasn't on the setlist http://www.paulmccartney.com/live/gigs/10760-arnhem OOPS, make that the last two times, no Hope of Deliverance http://www.paulmccartney.com/live/gigs/10689-ahoy I would appreciate it if you'd keep your snide remarks about the U.S. to yourself.

What is going on, on the board lately? Let's attack the UK for not kissing Paul's butt, then let's attack the US for whatever idiocy was posted above. Are we devolving into the comments section on the Daily Mail or USA Today website? : Hopefully the moderators will speak to a few folks who need some help understanding how to communicate on an international board.

LOL what is this. Are you missing my point or what? Read again, I meant my post in a 'like the US audience needs to be spoonfed'-way. "OOPS" indeed, my friend. But, wait a second, besides that, what does the fact he doesn't play one of his biggest EU hits in the Netherlands have to do with what I was saying? It's only proves my point, right? This guy...

It's because the setlist discussions always end up in personal attacks, even gang attacks against an individual (as ab0ve) simply because they defend Paul, or criticize Paul, or take a different opinion than the tack of the thread. It's happened countless times over the eight years I've posted here. I've seen posts removed, warnings from Moderators, whole threads locked or deleted, all because people don't know how to have a rational discussion and let their emotions totally take over. It's ridiculous, but no matter how many setlist discussions get started here, it always happens. Always!

Sorry folks! I didn't mean to start a turf war here, just wanted some input on what people thought might be done, if anything, with the setlist when Paul plays in the U.S. This will be my first show ever, so personally I'd love to hear 'A day in the life' mostly because I'm a Beatles fan. I can totally understand people who have been to multiple shows or being more of a Wings or Solo fan wanting to see other songs played though.

Your post doesn't read like that, actually. Look at your wording. You may have meant your post to read the way you stated above, but it really is not clear at all. OOPS indeed.

Lol, then use common sense. Why would anyone think I would have to nerve to attack a whole group of people out of the blue, many which I love to communicate with at this very forum, many met at McCartney concerts, some even helped me to get tickets for gigs. Fair enough, I guess sarcasm doesn't always translate that well to US audie... errr on the internet ;). I should have know better. Now, talking about Lennon-songs McCartney could sing...

Maybe you didn'y mean it that way, but that is how it came across. World English dictionary Racism 1. The belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others
