Aren't there actually 4 solo songs in his current setlist? My solo total was wrong, it should be 13:40 Maybe I'm Amazed Here Today Another Day Hope of Deliverance
Thanks for checking on that, but still an abysmally-low total of minutes devoted to an amazing solo catologue!
Uhmm-hmm.
I was trying to convey my "sista" 'tude voice.
You go, Girl.

So I guess you guys didn't like the Bruno Mars vids I posted.. OK the mention of him seemd to have litten the mood of the thread~

Since McCartney said that "Too Many People" was for Wings fans and "Another Day" was recorded during RAM sessions is it really a "solo" song?

Take one down, put it on the setlist, 98 bottles of Back Seat Of My Car on the wall.

Why is Paul playing MR. KITE? I mean, HERE TODAY is the heartfelt tribute he wrote for John, which is quite enough, IMO. But then you can say, "Well, he needs to play a JOHN song to honor his legacy." DAY TRIPPER takes care of that. So did PLEASE PLEASE ME. And if he wants to do a John song for that purpose, why not ACROSS THE UNIVERSE or DON'T LET ME DOWN?? Why MR. KITE. I actually enjoy the track, but mainly because it is pure Lennon madness and whimsy, something McCartney really is not all that good at. IMO!
-
because it's a cool song? cos he's never played it before? Mr. Kite don't know - something new on the setlist

I agree. Not that Mr. Kite won't be cool and totally trippy but McCartney has plenty of great songs from Sgt. Pepper he could play (seeing as he wrote most of it) to showcase live. And if he really want's to play a John song, why not play Ticket To Ride? A number one Beatles' song. Not that Day Tripper doesn't bring down the house (it does) but why not try something new?

Mr Kite sounded cool from what I heard on youtube. as you know at times vids do not do any justice to live performances at times..I'd like some of the Fireman.. but do you think the audience would get it??>

Well, McCartney would sound good doing SATISFACTION by the Rolling Stones, that doesn't mean he should play it live. It's his call, but then maybe Paul's next goal should be to play every song John Lennon wrote for the Beatles! Can't WAIT to hear him do I AM THE WALRUS!!
-
Why the fuss over Mr. Kite? It's not something any of us would EXPECT him to play, so perhaps that's the reason. Like... SURPRISE! I wouldn't mind one bit.

So, MR. KITE is ok, but I AM THE WALRUS isn't? They are about the same thing, really. In fact. I AM THE WALRUS would make more sense, it's more popular. But neither make sense, in the end.
