And I have loved the Ukrainians ever since.
Bet it shocked McCartney that they voted for that song instead of a Beatle tune - lol
One certainly wonders...
And the Japanese fans voted for "No More Lonely Nights." What's a legend to do?
I remember that poll -- was it legit?

Wasn't sanctioned by Paul. I think some radio station or website over there.

Wouldn't it be something if Paul pulled out She's A Woman, Long Tall Sally, Help or Hard Day's Night at Candlestick Park tonight? Prediction - none of those songs will be played...will be same old set list with perhaps the predictable switch out of I Saw Her Standing There for Get Back :-(. Would love to be proven wrong though

I said somewhere else it would be epic if he opened with Long Tall Sally tonight, since that was the last song played there by the Beatles in 1966.

Now I am curious about what song a US crowd would pick if they had a vote.
Four extra minutes added to "Hey Jude".

I would love to see Long Tall Sally as an opener. It would seem fit for an encore opener or closer, but I think he could make it work as a setlist opener.

Candlestick should be extra-awesome. I think he should go big and open with "I Saw Her Standing There" or "A Hard Day's Night."

SF perfect time to pull out EARLY DAYS!! What do you think?
-
Any show is a good time for that one.

I thought about your post a little bit longer -- you are soooooo right.

So he DID do "Long Tall Sally" after all!
-
Can't wait to hear that one!

and here it is

Cool! I think I like this version better than the Seattle one.
-
He really rocks that falsetto and the screams!
-
The last leg of the US tour is coming up. There's still hope for Early Days (or another song), as he will have time to rehearse any possible changes.
-
Long Tall Sally was OK. The screams and falsetto were easy for him, but the verses sounded rough to my ears on that clip. Band sounded great as always. I think it's safe to say that not a damn thing will change for the fall shows....and why should it?

All the concert reviews seem to be written by the same person, and say the same things. You know, "It was a Magical Mystery Tour thorough Yesterday and Today!"
-
You forgot "Beatle Paul McCartney..."
