This is the type of thing that ticks me off with Paul. All these years we would have loved him to do this song and only now does he perform it due to Chrissie's request. Obviously at 80, Paul can't do justice to this song and it was good idea for Chrissie to do most of the singing. That being said, he could have done this 25-30 years ago but never thought of it.
I thought the same thing. Maybe it's the perfectionist in him? 30 years ago he probably thought he couldn't do it justice and then 10 more years passed and then another 10. There's a life lesson in there somewhere.
Good point and the life lesson is one he sang about recently… “Do It Now”. Best not delay things as the years and bad health can catch up sooner than we think.

I'm in London now and going to Henley-On-Thames tomorrow. we'll probably be knackered after a full day there. Would be cool to see Paul though! How much were the tickets you got? P,S. It's sold out.
We did see his London home on the 31st and a light was on in the ground floor left front room,

Well I am British and just a 45 train ride from Wembley.
I got restricted view tickets on Wednesday for little for than £60. So really not bad at all.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!

Just caught half of Helter Skelter he did with others there, not his own band. What else did he do?

Amazing he would do that as that can be a vocal chord shredder. Will check YouTube. Thanks!

Just the 2 songs. Oh Darling as a duet & Helter Skelter. I thought maybe they'd do Cut Me Some Slack.

Short intro by Paul

Well I didn't think today would be the day I cross off "Oh Darling" from the "Paul's never gonna do these live" list.
Even as a duet, color me amazed. That was fun.

Link to the streamed show on youtube--skip to 5:28:45 for intro and Paul's performances.

Well that was fantastic!
What a show!! Seeing so many icons sharing the same stage - and some of my heroes....just....wow!
So happy I got to see Macca! At first when he was talking, his voice sounded like I haven't heard him speak before. Well, he is 80 after all!
I knew that if he came out he would do Helter Skelter due to yesterday's tweet. But to hear him do Oh Darling with Chrissie Hynd..utterly superb. Just two songs! I so wanted them to go on forever or at least do one more!
What a superb gig. Not to mention seeing RUSH (Geddy and Alex) together again - the main reason I went, as well as the hope that Macca would be there. Just utterly, utterly brilliant!

^ He got choked up when he first began talking about Taylor.
