@oobu24
Thanks as always Oobu24. Is there a better photo where I can read the additional information like the complete track list, title etc. Thanks so much. -
@b-j-conlee I tried to post a pic of the cover with the track listing but it was apparently too big to post here. But here is another. (google "Paul McCartney Up Close DVD" & click on images.

Thanks again. This time I listened to the complete video that accompanied your post about Paul's "Up Close" Concert. At the end, it did include the track list for this video. It also said it was a NBC Re-Broadcast. Originally I saw it when it first came out and I'm pretty sure it was on MTV without all of Paul's commentary on your video.Still I loved your video. It brought back a lot of memories. It was definitely an Edited and "Re-Broadcast" Show that later appeared on NBC. It was not the complete show.
There were quite a few songs that wasn't shown on this video. Not shown were "I Owe It All to You", C'Mon People, "Peace in the Neighborhood"and one or two more. They also didn't one song that was done later on the subsequent Off The Ground, The Complete Works (Double CD). It was Big Boys Bickering. You might remember the extra track with all the "F- Bombs". This video was more of a highlights of the Concert with a lot of Beatle songs Paul also did that night along with Paul's extra commentary. The commentary included many stories we all have heard man times.
Not sure if this was a bootleg or not, but as a fan, I would really want the complete broadcast of that night. Of the songs they did show, the "sound" was very good. As I said, Paul's vocals were top notch. As a big time Paul fan, his vocals were much better than the studio/ album versions. That is the main reason I would want Paul to "Officially" Release the complete show. By the way watching this video reminded me what a great band Paul had in the early 90's. This live concert really showed what a great lead guitarist Robbie McIntosh was, what a great back-up singer Hamish Stuart was and how great pianist Wix still is.

The one "off the Ground" song I forgot they did on the "Up Close" broadcast/Concert was "Looking for Changes". Two of the OTG songs that I didn't love when I bought the original album was "Peace in the Neighborhood" and "C'mon People". Man the "live" version of both songs were so so much better. In the concert you could really hear Hamish Stuart's back-Up vocals so more clearly.
One of many reasons I was pushing for a "Leftovers and Rarities "Official "Type/Album from Paul was because of all the Paul songs not included on the original CD. Additional songs like "Long Leather Coat", "Sweet Sweet Memories" etc are just as good as the OTG songs that actually made the Cut. -
@b-j-conlee
Thanks again Oobu for sending the additional picture of Paul's "Up Close" DVD. The picture showed the complete track list of the whole show and it was held at the Ed Sullivan Theater on December 10, 1992. I remember watching the original concert and that it was close to Christmas time because Paul and Band did a little snippet of Jingle Bells. Paul's Ad Libs were very spontaneous the whole night and I thought "Jingle Bells"came off very well. As I said, your first post with the video was edited from the original broadcast because it didn't have all the tracks. Your initial post/video also didn't show Big Boys Bickering(a very rare track). Another rare Beatle song on this edited video we didn't see was the "Bluegrass" version of "Can't Buy Me Love." Just including in the Set List in my opinion was very creative. For these reasons and more, I would love Paul/MPL to do an official DVD of the complete Broadcast. It was fantastic!PS The Reprise and extended Version of Sgt. Pepper was so great (this was included on Oobu's Video.) Robbie McIntosh 's solo guitar portions were incredible in my opinion.

@b-j-conlee There are a few versions on you tuve...this one seems longer. I didn't go through it to look for your songs. Again, check google!

@oobu24
To clarify, the Track List that Oobu initially sent for the "Up Close" Show was the "Abbreviated" Concert The video had a total of 9 actual tracks. They were:- 25 Flight Rock
- Get Out of My Way (OTG)
- Penny Lane
- Biker Like An Icon (OTG)
- Michelle
- Hope of Deliverance (OTG)
- I Want to be Your Man
- Sgt. Peppers Hearts Club Band - Reprise
- Lady Madonna
Interspersed between songs was Paul's Commentary about each song. Almost all the stories were ones we've heard many times.
I think most fans (including me) would love to see Paul/MPL release the original, full Broadcast of Up Close at the Ed Sullivan Theater which included a whopping 22 tracks, including 5 or 6 more "Off the Ground" Songs, the "Bluegrass" Version of Can't Buy Me Love, Fixing A Hole etc. and a very rare Paul Solo track called "Big Boys Bickering". I would definitely "Buy" this DVD. The OTG songs alone are so much better than what we heard on the original album.

I guess I should ask:Has Paul/MPL Officially Released a DVD of the "Complete Broadcast of the Up Close Concert at the Ed Sullivan Theater. I believe the concert was done on December 10, 1992. The complete Concert would have a Total of 22 Tracks.

@b-j-conlee
If "Yes" to My last question, Is the "Up Close At The Ed Sullivan Theater" DVD (from 1992) Available to Buy?
Thanks -
Now, I'm just floating this.... as a hypothetical...
How would people feel about Paul's next album being called "Mon Ami's"?
Fourteen tracks.
Paul doing Cover versions of John, George and Ringo SOLO material.
Would be interesting.

@toris
My first question is?
What does "Mon Ami" (Hope I spelled it correctly) mean? In all honesty, I would be more interested if we had Paul's voice from the 90s. Looking at Oobu's abbreviated video of Paul's "Up Close at the Ed Sullivan Theater" in 1992 Paul could really sing. In those days, Paul would be able to do powerful interpretations of John and George songs. -

@toris
Tori's, quick question for you. Do you remember seeing Paul's "Up Close" Concert in 1992 on MTV or videos of this concert on YouTube. Were his "Live" vocals on his OTG songs so much better than the Album/Studio versions or am I wrong? Thanks -

I just threw it out there as a hypothetical....

So... lots of stuff to watch.... 1993 very special tine for me, because Paul toured Australia. On the back of Off the Ground. Went to both concerts. The second one... three rows from the front... But I think that was in the days where he might have played five or six songs from the new album.

@toris
Hey Toris hope you're doing well! I'm at the New Jersey Shore in Atlantic City and the Weather has been beautiful over the last week. Are you still in Australia?One of the reasons I've been pushing for Paul to do a "Leftovers and Rarities" type album of his rare stuff is because these songs were done when he had his great voice. If I remember correctly, you were one of the few "Boardies" that really liked the idea.
-
@b-j-conlee
Yes 1993 were the good old days seeing Paul. I saw the "Off the Ground" tour too. Those OTG songs sounded better than what we heard on the album in my opinion. I think you're like me. We would be thrilled just to witness the whole Set List being only Wings and Solo stuff. -

In French “my friends” is “mes amis.” Just Google English to French and type in the phrase or word you want translated.
