Hmm for me I like A Hard Day's Night/Beatles for Sale era. I like it because they were so young and cute and I loved the way their voices sounded then.
-
Awesome maccafangirl30! What are your favorite tracks off of those albums? I tend to like the deep tracks a bit... A Hard Day's Night - I Should Have Known Better, Tell Me Why, If I Fell, Things We Said Today, And I Love Her And then for Beatles For Sale... Beatles For Sale - I'll Follow the Sun, Every Little Thing (really catchy ), Eight Days A Week, What You're Doing -Rubber Soul13
-
Ummm this is so difficult. The Beatles were my first crush, starting in the Hamburg leather jacket wearing days, but particularly in the Please Please me days and A Hard Day's Night Era. I would have to say the middle era would be my favourite though, inclusive of Sergeant Pepper. The relationship they had with each other, and the music they were producing in Rubber Soul and Revolver was sheer brilliance. I love the Let It Be and Abbey Road period musically, but as there were tensions in the band, I find it to be more bittersweet.

Incredible when you pause to think of what they did in just those 7 years! It's absolutely mind-boggling!

DreamingofYesterday - Ha, the Hamburg days. Kaiserkeller and such. Thanks for your post! beatlesfanrandy - I know, right? -Rubber Soul13

If I Fell is my favorite Beatles song! The others you mentioned are great too!

Nancy R - It's a great song. I like the "If I Fell" scene from A Hard Day's Night - Ringo pouting about, George nearly knocking the amp over, etc. One of my favorite parts of the movie. -Rubber Soul13

What's YOUR favorite era? -Rubber Soul13

Let's keep those "favorite eras" coming! What's yours? -Rubber Soul13

It's tough to choose... but '66-'67 for me. All of the songs they came up with during that period are some of their best! "Eleanor Rigby," "Here, There, and Everywhere," "Tomorrow Never Knows," "All You Need Is Love," ''Penny Lane," "Strawberry Fields Forever"... I could go on, but you get the idea!
-
Yep, I definitely agree! There was something really special about that time. Any particular favorite song from that time (or if not a "favorite," one that stood out)? -Rubber Soul13

Probably "Strawberry Fields Forever".

I'm torn between 66/67 and 68/69...I think just because Abbey Road falls in the latter, I lean that way just a bit...I just feel bad that this particular time period was underscored with a lot of stress and frustration between the boys

Great tune Sgt. Pepper! Yeah, the 66-69 period was a bittersweet time for The Beatles. But they made some great music nonetheless! -Rubber Soul13
-
I love them all!

Spring 1970. The release of my favorite Beatles album & movie Let it Be, 2 #1 singles, the McCartney album, Instant Karma single, etc. The Beatles at their peak, even if the end was near.
